A late George III silver three piece teaset, London 1809 by Thomas Wallis & Jonathan Hayne, comprising of teapot, sugar bowl and cream jug, each with gadrooned rim, bellied trunk, ball feet and vine leaf decoration with monogram, 32toz (3) CONDITION REPORT: Lot 182 - Teapot: Minor dents, patch to inside. Cream Jug: bottom of handle has been re-soldered. Sugar: Signs of repair to bowl by right handle. All three have wear to decoration from polishing.
A George IV silver teacaddy, Glasgow 1829 by Robert Gray & Sons, with rose finial, domed rectangular lid, tapering ogee trunk with shell and vine leaf apron on pierced scrolling feet, with allover floral decoration and boar crest, 'The Bequest of Robert Muirhead Esq 1828' engraved to base, 12toz CONDITION REPORT: Lot 194 - Large dents to front, other minor dents, lid is tight.
Two Victorian Staffordshire flat back spill vase groups, comprising a huntsman with his arm around a lady and a dog at his feet, 42cm high and a shepherd standing beside an open tree trunk with two sheep reclining at his feet, 34cm high and a Victorian Staffordshire flat back group of two musicians, the man seated with a dog on his lap, 33cm high (3)
A George III mahogany and line inlaid longcase clock, broken swan neck pediment, shaped arched door, flanked by columns, painted dial with Roman numeral chapter ring, subsidiary seconds and date dial, aperture for moon face, figural spandrels, signed M Bartley, 195cm high. (weights and pendulum). CONDITION REPORT: overall in good condition, general wear and dents to trunk, dial with losses and faded.
A 19th Century oak longcase clock, the arched hood with twin broken pediment and reeded columns flanking an arched glazed door set before a 13.25 ins arched top brass dial with rolling moon movement, twin weight driven striking on a bell, Roman numerals with minute outer ring, chased dial centre with date aperture and twin winders, chased cartouche with the words 'In? Kitchen, Nantwich', a long shaped trunk door flanked by quarter cut reeded columns on a stepped base, pendulum and weights included, 85 ins (216 cms) overall height (restored)
A Victorian court outfit with Derby and Royal connection, comprising cape, trousers, waist jacket, tail jacket, tricorn hat, braces, white leather gloves, two silk handkerchiefs, two jabots, pair of buckled shoes, four pairs of stockings and two silver pommel walking canes contained in a tin Ede trunk. Provenance: Formerly the property of Derby Mayor Sir Alfred Seale Haslam of Breadsall Priory (1844-1927). Haslam is reputed to have worn this court dress for receiving Queen Victoria on her state visit to Derby at the City railway station on 21st May 1891. He was knighted by the Monarch at the same time. Photographs of Haslam in the said outfit can be see in Maxwell Craven's 'Derbeians of Distinction'.
