A green canvas and wooden bound steamer trunk CONDITION REPORTS Overall with wear, scuffs, fading, rusting. Some rips and stains including some warping and mis-shaping. The wooden banding is coming away from the bod of the trunk. Some woodworm holes. Some general wear and tear. SIze approx 51cm high x 50cm wide and 63cm long.
A collection of decorative china wares, etc, to include a Rockingham pot pourri basket painted with flowers, a 19th Century floral encrusted porcelain pocket watch holder, a 19th Century Staffordshire pottery miniature figure of a lady and gentleman in the Walton manner, Continental porcelain figure of a soldier on horseback, a Continental porcelain allegorical figure of Africa modelled as a figure with lion at his feet and holding a cornucopia and wearing an elephant headress, a miniature Continental porcelain figure of a gentleman in tri-corn hat with musket, a 19th Century Continental porcelain heart shaped trinket box painted with flowers, a Limoges porcelain trinket box decorated with a violin, a miniature porcelain candlestick and a further trinket box CONDITION REPORTS Rockingham pot pourri basket is very dirty and there is significant losses to the floral decoration and flaking to the paintwork. 19th Century floral encrusted porcelain pocket watch holder has losses to the floral decoration. Staffordshire pottery miniature figure of a lady and gentleman has flaking paint in various places. Continental porcelain figure of a soldier on horseback has flaking paint and there is some losses to the floral areas ad there is damage and a piece missing to his back pouch. Figure of Africa has been broken and re-glued at the head and several places lower down. There is a section missing from the back and the lion has a missing tail and a chunk missing from the front paw, along with a significant chip to the base which has been heavily restored. The elephants mask is missingthe trunk and tusks - see images for more details. miniature Continental porcelain figure of a gentleman in tri-corn hat with musket - foot appears to have been broken and restored, musket is in a similar siutation as is his hand. 19th Century Continental porcelain heart shaped trinket box has a large chip to the base and has been broken and restored. Paint is worn. Limoges porcelain trinket box decorated with a violin has a damaged hinge, broken at one side but still in working order. Miniature porcelain candlestick - rubbing to the guilding on the edges. Halcyon Days trinket box has general wear and tear. All items have general wear and tear conducive with age and use to include knocks, scrapes and in need of a clean. See images for further details. Please see lot 91a for additonal images

A good Japanese Meiji period Tokyo school ivory carving of a woodcutter modelled with a gentleman standing upon a large trunk with serrated saw in hand, with rope binding to the lower section of the trunk, incised red lacquered seal mark to the base and on intricate pierced stand, length 19.5cm. *Provenance: Professor B.
