A WWII period Royal Navy Regulation bicorn hat and epaulettes in Russian lacquer trunk:, the bicorn hat with gilt brocade, unsigned, the epaulettes by Gieve, London with gilt brocade, foul anchor and crown decoration, together with an HMS Perseus crossing the line certificate for Captain G R Deverell dated 10th December 1945 and related ephemera.
A SCOTTISH GEORGE III MAHOGANY LONGCASE CLOCK BY CHARLES SHEDDEN, PERTH MID-19TH CENTURY the circular painted dial inscribed CHAS. SHEDDEN/ PERTH, with twin train movement above baluster shaped trunk on panelled base with bracket feet 219cm high Note: Charles Shedden (1813 - 1871) was a clock and watchmaker active in Perth in the mid-19th century. He was a journeyman with Colin Croll, and worked in London with McCabe & Strachan, Royal Exchange, before returning to his native Perth.
A mid-19th century rosewood stick barometer the arched top with ivorine scale signed 'J. H. Steward, 459 West Strand London', a mercury thermometer to the left and sliding vernier scale to the right, over a flat trunk with mercury tube and turned cistern cover to the base, 36in. (91.5cm.) high *Condition:Ivorine yellowed. One of brass claws holding top of thermometer missing but still secure. Brass fitting securing top of main tube a little dented. Needs cleaning.
George III oak- cased brass-dial eight day longcase clock, Charles Watts at Bourne, the 12-inch two piece dial with silvered chapter ring having Roman hours and Arabic minutes framing foliate scroll engraving and within mask spandrels, the separate arch engraved with an eagle boss, the case with swan neck pediment and arched crossbanded long trunk door on plain base, 204cm high
A good 19th century mahogany and marquetry inlaid eight day longcase clock with musical mechanism, the altered and associated arched brass dial set with Roman and Arabic numerals and rolling moon phase, the trunk with carved detail to quarter columns above plinth base to bracket feet, height approx 235cm. Additional InformationSome lifting, cracking, splitting etc to veneer throughout, some replaced sections, both hands replacements, has lost the section of cornice below the hood on the left hand side, feet section probably replaced, the feet damaged with one completely missing the lowest section having been replaced with a wooden block. Dial earlier, associated to case. The musical mechanism not currently functioning.

CORNFORTH OF MACCLESFIELD; an early 19th century oak and mahogany longcase clock with broken swan neck pediment and brass finial above circular repainted dial set with Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture with scenes of ruins to corners, the trunk with carved quarter columns above plinth base on bracket feet, height 216cm.Additional InformationNot tested, no guarantee of working order, dial repainted as stated, hands replacements, splits, cracks, lifting to the veneer, some losses and chips also, various repairs and replacements, split through panel to base, further splits at sides, general wear and tear throughout.
A large vintage travel trunk chest having metal brass style banding with leather carrying handles to both sides and locks / catches to front. Makers label for US Trunk Co, the binding on this trunk is Vulcanized Fibre made by National Vulcanized Fibre Co. Measures 66cm tall by 102cm wide by 60cm deep.
