A GOOD EDWARDIAN INLAID MAHOGANY LONGCASE CLOCK having a filigree brass and silvered dial bearing Arabic numerals and with silent / chime dial and Whittington / Westminster dial, the hood with swan-neck pediment and with arched glass over a inlaid mahogany trunk gazed on three sides over a fruit-basket marquetry panelled base, 252cms highIt winds well and it chimes well.It does have it’s winding key but the door key is missing, but it is open.There are a few faint surface scratches which are not very noticeable and could probably be cleaned up.There is one small piece of wood missing from one side in amongst the patterned side.All the glass is good

A thirty hour long case clock by F Cottell of Crewkerne with engraved brass and silvered dial. The Roman chapter has an outer Arabic five minute interval ring, calendar aperture and second hand dial. Taff Vale Railway 12 inch mahogany cased drop dial trunk clock. The original dial is lettered GWR in roundel. The English wire driven fusee movement has been recently cleaned and is in good condition. The case with flame mahogany veneer, brass bowtie lenticle window, ears, 2 side doors and bottom door with GWR ball bearing catch is in excellent restored condition. The GWR ivorine numberplate GWR 873 is screwed to the left hand side. A superb timepiece supplied by J. Collings of Cardiff circa 1870. In working condition complete with pendulum and key.

Case surfaces are slightly rubbed in parts, plinth is slightly faded, small scratches in parts, three original wooden side pegs are missing but we have since had three made so therefore now complete, bottom right head door with chips, dial is discoloured and with scratches, small chips around the winding holes, letters and numerals are faded, movement is dirty, with pendulum. Later case, hood with chips and detail moulding missing in parts, one piece of veneer is missing around the hood door, hood door with chips and small cracks, trunk with beading missing and one piece of crossbanding, plinth with scuff marks and small pieces of later veneers in parts, dial slightly discoloured, later wooden side cheeks, later wooden dial surround, movement looks complete, in going order, with two weights and a pendulum.

Hood sides with cracks and one piece of veneer is missing, trunk and plinth with small dents, plinth with chips and scuff marks, dial with scratches, winding holes with minor chips, movement looks clean and complete.
~ A Walnut Eight Day Longcase Clock, signed Greaves, Newcastle, circa 1750, flat top pediment, arched trunk door, 12-inch arched brass dial with a chapter ring signed, seconds dial and date aperture, arch with lunar dial and aperture, four pillar movement with an anchor escapement and rack striking on a bell, 221cm high see illustration 05.06.19. Case is faded, case with cracks and chips in parts, some scuff marks, trunk door is bowed, base and feet with chips, dial is dirty, movement is dirty.
~ A Green Chinoiserie Eight Day Longcase Clock with Rocking Father of Time Automata, signed Edward Greatrex, Birmingham, circa 1750, green chinoiserie case with gilt painted floral decoration, trunk dial with oriental scenes depicting a pagoda, boats and figures, 14-1/4-inch arched brass dial with a silvered chapter ring signed, dial arch with a rocking ''Father of Time'' aperture, dial centre with a lunar scale and date aperture, four pillar movement with an anchor escapement and inside countwheel striking on a bell, 240cm high see illustration 05.06.19. Case is nicely aged throughout, gilt painted scenes are discoloured, case with cracks, chips and rubbing in parts, some surfaces feel dry and some shrinkage to the paint, door mouldings with splits, base with scuff marks, dial is slightly discoloured, movement is clean, with two weights and a pendulum.

Case with a later built caddy pediment, case needs restoration throughout, hood door with later hinges, wooden dial surround is later, hood with chips and cracks to veneers and some veneers are missing, trunk door with cracks to the top and bottom sides, half of the trunk door moulded edges are missing, plinth has been re-built, backboard is patched to the top and bottom sides, dial is dirty, movement with one dial foot not locating into the movement front plate, movement needs cleaning, with two weights and a pendulum.
