An unusual Swiss made fully articulated steel plate and aluminium bodied male figure, approx 8” tall, with composition head with cigarette to mouth, and wearing red and black crossed forage style cap, similar composition hands and black boots; each links made up of rolled and clipped plates, ball jointed at all human bend points including neck, formed aluminium sheet trunk section. A fully poseable but unclad figure. GC to VGC (some frosting to steel work) (See lot 199 for illustration).
Miscellaneous figurines including a pair of Italian capodimonte style classical figures holding baskets of flowers, an Italian porcelain Sagittarius blanc-de-chine ornament, an English porcelain figurine of a girl with rabbit, a candlestick styled as a frock coated tricorn hatted gentleman standing by tree-trunk, a capodimonte style figurine of Napoleon on horseback, and a Staffordshire Melbaware model of a carthorse with tack, complete with wood cart. A nineteenth century oak longcase clock, with swan neck pediment above pierced scrolled fretwork, having arched door flanked by turned columns enclosing a movement by M Collingwood of Alnwick, the painted enamelled dial with Roman chapters and floral spandrels beneath an arched landscape panel with figure and sheep standing by tree, the trunk with rectangular door and corner quarter columns, raised on moulded panel base with roundels to corners and supported on bracket feet - complete with brass pendulum, pair of weights and key. A nineteenth century mahogany longcase clock case, with arched hood and glazed door flanked by turned columns, the trunk inlaid with burr walnut marquetry panel and boxwood stringing, the moulded base similarly crossbanded and inlaid with boxwood and ebony stringing, raised above a shaped apron with bracket feet. An Italian reproduction walnut marquetry longcase clock, with broken swan-neck pediment flanking a turned finial, having brass dial with Roman chapters and decorative pierced scrolled spandrels, the glazed moulded door flanked by split fluted baluster mouldings, the trunk with arched glazed door having three brass weights and pendulum driving the mechanism with Westminster chimes, the moulded base with decorative floral marquetry panel above a shaped apron, on ogee bracket feet. A late eighteenth century walnut cased longcase clock, with moulded cornice above carved blind fretwork frieze, with square door having turned columns enclosing a movement by Wilson of Stamford, the silvered square associated dial with Roman chapters and date aperture, the trunk with cushion moulded panelled door having circular glass bob lenticle aperture, raised on moulded plinth base with square panel - some alterations. A Victorian Scottish mahogany longcase clock, the hood surmounted by brass eagle finials with projecting concave cornice above a circular door flanked by fluted tapering columns, having enamelled dial with Roman chapters and two subsidiary dials, the trunk with panelled door and chamfered corners above a moulded base supported on turned feet, the hood with gothic shaped glazed apertures to sides.
