A Motor Vehicle Trunk by Finnigans Ltd of New Bond Street, London, 1913,comprising of a leather-cloth outer case, four fine original inner suitcases, each with sturdy leather handles with nickel fittings, 83cm wide, some wear to hinges, travel worn. Footnotes:Finnigans had five shops, one in New Bond Street, London, along with two in Liverpool and two in Manchester. They were one of the major suppliers of luggage for motor cars. An smaller trunk with only two inner suitcases retailed at 18 guineas in 1914, over £2500 in today's money. Enclosed with this travelling trunk is one original newspaper cutting from Punch on June 17th 1914, showing the smaller trunk, plus a photocopy from The Illustrated London News April 19th 1913, showing the trunk in situ with three cases, which was the lesser of the two versions made at the time.
