A good Scottish mahogany longcase clock the hood with swan neck pediment terminating in embossed roundels flanking a ball and spire finial the case inlaid overall with boxwood and parquetry stringing the arched hood with pair of ivory capped pillars enclosing a painted dial the arch with Nelson, the spandrels with anchors and rope, the centre inscribed James Robertson, Perth, subsidiary seconds and month dials, eight-day twin train movement striking on a bell, the figured trunk door with indented angles to the top flanked by chamfered angles, conforming base on ogee feet, 227cm high overall, Circa 1800 (faults)
A George III longcase clock, with George I walnut case with straight caddy top above a broken arched hood with blind fretted scrollwork frieze, the trunk with arched door and base each of finely figured veneer with herringbone banding, the whole of good quality with cross grain mouldings, the later striking movement being eight day and with moon phase work to the arch, with silvered chapter ring and engraved centre with calendar aperture signed "Joseph Bell" within Rococo spandrels. Joseph Bell was probably of Burnhill Row, London circa 1780. Height 234 cm (see illustration).
A Victorian mahogany longcase clock by Rutherford of Huddersfield, with swans neck pediment above the arched glazed door enclosing the 13.5 inch arched painted dial with eight-day striking movement, subsidiary seconds dial and date, flanked by turned columns and with short trunk door and circular panel to the base. Height 235 cm.
A George III oak longcase clock by Hugh Lough of Penrith, with 11 inch silvered brass dial, 30 hour movement and date aperture, with crossbanded trunk door and raised on bracket feet. Height 190 cm. CONDITION REPORT: In our opinion this clock is not a marriage. The dial matches the movement and the movement matches the case. The mask around the dial fits perfectly. The case is in generally first class condition. There are two very minor losses to the top of the cornice at the left hand corner and front right hand corner. The remainder of the hood is in very good order. The trunk door is not warped. There is a small loss approximately 3 inches below the lock escutcheon on the left hand side moulded edge. The base is in very good order as are the feet.

Gustave Moreau (1826-1898), a white marble sculpture representing autumn, she stands wearing a loose tunic with her left hand raised to shield her eyes from the sun, a wheatsheaf under her right arm, signed 'G Moreau' on the adjacent tree trunk, 100cm (39.5 in) on later variegated green marble plinth The handle of the sickle in her right hand lacks its blade. The little finger from her left hand has been glued back
Henry Jones, London, a month going walnut parquetry and oyster veneered longcase clock, purchased from Charles Thornton of York in 1960, the hood with fretwork frieze above barleytwist pilasters, paterae inlaid rectangular trunk door with lenticle, the square brass 10inch dial signed 'Henry Jones London' below, winged mask spandrels, matted centre with date aperture and seconds dial, the movement with 5 pillars (of which two are latched), outside countwheel striking, all upon a similarly inlaid plinth. An 18th century Channel Islands longcase clock by Nicolas Blondel the brass arched dial signed on a silvered roundel to the arch, 'Nicolas Blondell a Guernesey', with silvered chapter ring and subsidiary seconds at noon, date aperture at six, matted brass centre, pheasant and cornucopia spandrels, the eight day movement with anchor escapement, in an oak case with flared pediment on turned pilasters, arched trunk door or pierced butterfly hinges, plain plinth base, reduced in height, 77in. (195.5cm.) high.
A Thomas De Garis of Guernsey mahogany eight day longcase clock mid-19th century, the silvered arched Roman dial with subsidiary seconds, date aperture, engraved foliate and roundel spandrels and an engraved eagle and 'Tempus Fugit' banner to the arch, the dial signed 'Thos. De Garis, Guernsey', the case with swan neck pediment centred by a gilt brass eagle finial over an arched glazed door flanked by turned pillars, the cross banded trunk with shaped arched door, on a plain base, 86in. (218cm.) high, lacks plinth.
A mid 19th century Longcase Clock, the arched dial inscribed "Kirby, Malton" with seconds ring, date aperture and painted with sporting scenes. With eight day movement, in mahogany and oak case with swan's neck pediment and baluster turned pilasters, the trunk with quarter round mouldings and inlaid decoration, on bracket feet. 7' 6" (229cms) high.

Calendar and moon phases operable. Not in working order. Return moulding loose. Doubtful if the clock, face and case have always belonged together, possible marriage. Trunk and base irregular.
