Naval officers Hat Epaulettes & Belt in original tin trunk by Gieves: A cased antique Naval officers Hat, Epaulettes (epaulets) & belt, from the earlier part of last century Geo V - by Gieves Ltd., of London. Of the highest quality, and all complete within the original Japanned tin trunk, with brass makers plaque. Bears the name J Hutton Attenborough, who was Killed in Action on his ship during WWII, 21st May 1941, this is documented on google. The name on the trunk has been over painted out, but is actually still clearly readable. Tin trunk measures 18.5" wide overall. All in very good overall condition, though this has obviously been worn, albeit clearly with care.
