A good Edwardian cased inlaid and satinwood crossbanded mahogany longcase clock, the gilt-brass dial with silvered chapter ring signed Thomas Downs, Louth, with subsidiary seconds dial and strike/silent dial in the arch, eight day movement striking on bells, the hood with swan neck pediment centred by a gilt-brass figure of Time, and fitted with fluted columns, the trunk with fluted quarter columns and a shaped door, decorated throughout with inlaid flowers, scrolls and vases and the door with satinwood crossbanding. 228cm
