An 18th century and adapted oak longcase clock, the flat top hood with dentil moulding flanked by turned pillars with brass capitals, the trunk with arched panel door and flanked by canted corners over a plain base and bracket feet, the 10" brass dial with silvered chapter ring and Roman numerals and Arabic five minutes, signed 'W. Porthouse, Penrith', and with silvered plaque engraved 'Nicholas and Mary Lowes, 1748', within gilt mask spandrels, with associated four pillar movement with anchor escapement and striking on a bell. 215cm high
A George II black painted longcase clock, the arched dial inscribed John Thompson, London, within an engraved circle flanked by a pair of mythical horse and scroll cast spandrels, the brass chapter ring with Roman and Arabic numerals, matted centre dial, cherub pierced spandrels, the hood with pair of ebonised pillars, the arched trunk door with gold painted ovolo moulding, 196cm high (extensive faults, old restorations, newer restorations, reduced); together with a box inscribed Black Grandfather Clock containing a number of items relating to this particular clock including: cogs, bell striker etc.
A George III oak cased longcase clock with swan neck pediment, the arched enamel dial painted to the top with sailing ship and castle, the spandrels floral painted, Roman and Arabic numerals with subsidiary seconds and month dial, twin winding holes and pierced hands the hood with pair of brass capped fluted pillars, the trunk door shaped with shaded shell patera within two strung lozenges, the panelled base similar, 218cm high; a George III oak longcase clock, the hood with fret cut swan neck pediment, the arched enamel dial painted to the top with a half length portrait of a young woman holding a sprig of flowers, floral painted spandrels, Roman and Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds and month dials, twin winding holes, the hood with pair of brass capped pillars, the trunk with indented angles and mahogany crossbands, fluted angles, 212cm high approx., Circa 1780; a Victorian mahogany cased longcase clock with hood, swan neck pediment centred on a ball and eagle finial enclosing an arched dial inscribed Tho Hawxwell, Brompton, decorated with scrolls, Roman and Arabic numerals, shaped crossbanded trunk door, 217cm high approx., all late 18th / early 19th Century (all with extensive faults, the latter with serious faults to case) (3)
A French sewing companion in the form of a blue diced leather travelling trunk, mother of pearl bosses, steel mounts and handle, the interior with mirror, pair of scent bottles, thimble over reel drawer, scissors, stiletto, needlecase, handle, folding knife, a matched button hook, three spaces vacant, a few studs missing, 9.5cm wide.
Mid-19th century mahogany and boxwood inlaid and rosewood crossbanded 8 day longcase clock, Stonehouse Leeds, the hood with swan neck pediment over a broad frieze panel to freestanding bobbin-turned columns and moulded throat, to a short trunk with chamfered cornice flanking short and shaped trunk door and raised on a plinth base, to a 13 arched and painted 3rd period dial, decorated to the arch with a musician and a shepherd over floral spandrels, to a Roman chapter ring with outside minute track and enclosing subsidiaries for seconds and days, to a movement with plates united by four knopped pillars and with anchor escapement and strike on a bell, height 88 (losses and damage throughout)
Mid-19th century mahogany cased 8 day longcase clock, Jas Bowes Bradford, the hood with swan neck pediment over a plain frieze and freestanding baluster columns to a moulded throat and short and shaped trunk door, to a panelled plinth base on splayed feet, to a 14 arched 3rd period painted dial decorated to the arch with a biblical scene of Christ carrying the cross, to further country house scene spandrels enclosing a convex Roman chapter ring with outside minute track and enclosing subsidiaries for seconds and date, with pierced and stamped brass hands to a movement with plates united by four knopped pillars and with anchor escapement and strike on a bell (case and movement associated), height 96
Early 19th century oak cased 30 hour longcase clock, W Stanford Yarmouth, the hood with moulded cornice and shaped pediment over freestanding columns with gilt painted capitals to a moulded throat and long arched trunk door, to a reduced plinth base, to a signed 11 square painted dial with shell and floral spandrels enclosing an Arabic chapter ring with further Arabic quarters and outside minute track to gilt spade hands, to a movement with plates united by four knopped pillars and with anchor escapement and strike on a bell (bell lacking), height 72
Late 18th century oak cased 30 hour longcase clock, Jno Huxtable Chittlehampton, the hood with ogee moulded pediment over dentil work detail, to > columns and moulded throat to long and reeded trunk door on a plinth base, to a 2 “ square brass dial with cast and applied floral and foliate spandrels (one spandrel missing), enclosing a Roman and Arabic chapter ring and further engraved centre with a river scene and with pierced steel hands, to a posted movement with back mounted count wheel and anchor escapement and strike on a bell (losses throughout)

A 19th century Scottish mahogany long case clock the painted dial with Roman numerals and subsidiary dials inscribed Buchan of Blairgowrie with a broken swan neck pediment and pilaster, the dial surmounted by a broken pediment and flanked by pilasters on a flame veneered trunk panel door and base, complete with weights, 214 x 46cm

Movement does not appear to have been used for a long time but generally appears complete. The longcase has been altered to accommodate its modern face and quartz movement. Trunk door generally slightly bowed, a piece of moulding is missing from below the door and various gouges, chips, scratches and dents particularly around the bottom of the case. Generally quite heavily sun faded.
