A German elephant mystery clock, c.1900The standing patinated spelter figure of an elephant with raised trunk suspending a gilt metal pendulum with white enamel dial and black Arabic numerals with ribbon tie questing and pierced work. Extended pendulum raised on a kidney shaped wooden base, 20cm high.

With metal plates on each side, but missing it's metal handles. With a label inside, Ancne Maison Louis Vuitton, E Rabec, 57 Avenue Marceau, Paris. Trunk 90cms by 52cms, 58cms high *We believe that Rabec was a subcontractor of Louis Vuitton.
A mid 19th century mahogany longcase clock by John Cameron, Kilmarnock (1836-9). The straight stepped canopy with semi-circular door, painted dial with rural scenes depicting 'Spring', 'Summer', 'Harvest', 'Winter' and the 'Pass of Killiecrankie'. The dial is also painted with Roman numerals and has two subsidiary dials with Arabic numerals (for seconds and days of the month). Trunk with long door on square box base. Eight-day, two-train movement, striking on a single bell. 214 x 56cm. Condition reports are not available for our Interiors Sales.

A very good large 19th Century American leather humpback Travelling Trunk, by Liebrich Hillebrand & Wolf, Philadelphia, (stamped on brass lock) profusely tooled with lines and decoration and inscribed on lid "Warranted Sole Leather with Steel Springs," the interior attractively fitted, with trays etc., and with one original leather strap, approx. 74cms x 46cms (29" x 18") made before 1870 and in very good condition. An important Irish Provincial Longcase Clock by James Aiken of Cork, the arched and moulded cornice above an arched brass dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, on a silverized chapter ring, with subsidiary dial for seconds and date aperture, under a convex roundel to the arch, with maker name, the trunk with an arched door, and on moulded box base, with bracket feet, approx. 220cms x 53cms (87" x 21").
