A mid 18th Century Oak and Pine cased 30-hour Long Case Clock, W Butterley of Horsham, the hood with overhanging cornice to a plain frieze and three quarter columns to an ogee throat and long trunk door, on a reduced plinth base, to a 10” square brass dial with cherub and foliate, cast and applied spandrels enclosing a Roman chapter ring with inside quarter track and fleur de lys half-hour markers, to a matted centre and single blued steel pierced hand, to a posted movement with rear mounted count wheel and anchor escapement, strike on a bell, height 74”
An early 18th Century oak cased Eight Day Long Case Clock, John Thornton, the hood with overhanging cornice and shaped pediment over free standing baluster columns to an ogee throat with long plain trunk door, and raised on a plinth base with shaped bracket to an 11” square brass dial with cherub and crown cast and applied spandrels to a silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring with outside track and inside quarters with fleur de lys half hour markers with matted centre containing subsidiary seconds over a date sector with ringed winding squares, to a movement united by four knopped and thinned pillars with anchor escapement and count wheel strike on a bell (case and movement associated), height 80 ½”
A mid-20th Century oak cased Eight Day Long Case Clock, the arched hood with overhanging cornice to an ogee throat and glazed long trunk door flanked by canted corners to a plinth base and raised on four bun feet, to a 10” arched brass dial, signed Tempus Fugit, in a silvered boss to the arch with dolphin and mask spandrels enclosing a Roman and Arabic silvered chapter ring to a matted centre and blued steel pierced hands, to a triple weight driven movement with anchor escapement and strike on eight rods, height 74”

A late 19th Century black slate Mantel Clock, the architectural case with shaped pediment to a stepped trunk, flanked with gilt metal side pieces to classical masks and raised on a stepped plinth base with cast brass bezel enclosing a 5” black Roman chapter ring, with gilt spade hands to a patinated centre with visible brocot escapement, and circular brass movement with anchor escapement, outside count wheel, strike on a gong (lacking), height 20”

SAMUEL LAWSON, KEIGHLEY (1721-1770), A YORKSHIRE HONEY OAK LONGCASE CLOCK, with long arched trunk door and flat moulded hood, 28cm square brass dial with date crescent, thirty-hour pull-up movement with four scribed pillars and outside countwheel striking on a bell. 1.99m note: New wood inserted beneath seatboard mount and alteration to dial surround.
JOHN BRICE, SANDWICH (1723-1755), A WALNUT VENEERED LONGCASE CLOCK, with long cross-banded arched trunk door and arched hood, now with a rare and unusual eight-day movement with five scribed and knopped pillars, the 35.5cm arched brass dial with rocking ship in the arch, pendulum adjustment pointer and unusual date dial to the right, subsidiary seconds and rolling moon above "6", signed to the arch of the dial. 2.37m note: The seatboard supports have been extended to accommodate the movement.
*Scotland. A voluminous collection of correspondence, mostly relating to the Edinburgh legal office of John Martin, c. 1870s,-1880s, the majority to or from the office and relating to conveyances, including Isle of Mull, Isle of Bute, Canna, and others, a total of several thousand items, all paper, mostly 8vo, contained in a large old tin trunk (a tin trunk)
