Two early 20th century zinc-lined pine trunks. Both metal-mounted and with pasted shipping labels. The larger trunk with two iron carrying handles and the owner's name stencil-painted (106 x 57 x 59 cm). The smaller example with its lower half painted in British Racing Green (61 x 61 x 62 cm).

Condition Report: The canvas has been relined. Stretcher marks visible and areas of coarse surface cracking throughout. A tear in the canvas with a corresponding areas of paint loss of approx. 2 cm in the sky centre left. Another speck of paint loss to the left of the tree trunk above the woman with the wicker hat. Two patches on the reverse of the canvas, UV reveals restorations in these areas, including a restored vertical tear of approx. 15 cm in the sky upper left. A layer of surface dirt and discoloured varnish, would benefit from a clean. Abrasions around the edges from contact with the frame. Condition Report Disclaimer
An oak cased longcase clock, the 30cms square brass dial with silvered chapter ring, Roman and Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds dial, date aperture and tablet signed 'Roger Cossins, Crewkerne', fitted with a 30-hour movement striking on a bell, 198cms high.Condition ReportThe back boards to the case have been replaced and there is no seat board. The movement is screwed down to the cheeks. The trunk door is flush with no warping but some shrinkage splits to the trunk base. The chapter ring on the dial is scratched and the movement appears complete. Missing the minute hand.
