Red Arova-Porsche 212 Skibob - Manufactured in 1970 with the specific dimensions to fit into the trunk of a Porsche 911. The Skibob by Arova-Porsche is a rare gem and a nice collectors item. This unique collaboration has an estimated production of around 50 units for this colour version. It was originally available in blue where there was an estimated of 200 units made, most of which sold in Germany. This rare example has only been used for a brief period and has been well stored. Comes with its original grey vinyl case and liner, as well as two foot skies. It can easily fold away and the items can be cleverly stored under the seat or in the bag. Approx. Weight 18kg, Scooter length (Measured from end of Skis) 220cm, Height 70cm, Scooter Bag 50'x20'. A Chinese camphor wood chest, 20th century. With rectangular panels carved with figures in a garden setting, height 58cm, width 101cm, depth 51cm.From the personal collection of the late Graham Pedley who owned an antique shop in Truro, Cornwall from 1964-1983.This beautiful chest still retains its attractive camphor-wood scent. The decorative panels and interior is in excellent order and the trunk itself is in very good order overall. There is a slight scratch to the top from a previous owner. Please view added image.

A George III figured mahogany eight-day longcase clock with moonphase the four-pillar rack and bell striking movement with 13in brass break-arch dial with subsidiary seconds dial and calendar aperture to the matted centre within an applied silvered Roman numeral chapter ring with Arabic five minutes the angles with cast spandrels beneath rolling moon to arch the upper edge. The hood with swan neck pediment with rose detail, fretwork/fabric panels and pilasters .The body with shaped-top trunk door flanked by quarter columns the panel fronted plinth base with canted angles and ogee bracket feet 228cm high. William Barker is recorded in Baillie G.H. Watchmakers & Clockmakers of the World as working in Wigan circa 1760

The other pieces in the lot are in good condition overall, there are some minor nicks but no major chips or breaks, one of the half dolls is broken.

A MAHOGANY 8-DAY LONGCASE CLOCK18th Century The 11 1/2 in. chased silvered dial, named William Carter, Southwark, with gilt spandrels, within a mahogany case with fluted columns and three ball finials, 210cm high excluding finialsCondition report:The case with various damages including a section of veneer and timber missing on the right hand side moulding below the hood, and vertical splitting along the back edge of the left hand side. Another smaller horizontal section of veneer missing to the right hand side return. Further other scratches, crack and chips to the veneers, together with extensive dirt and dust. See extra images. The top of the hood with three brass ball finials, two of which have been rescrewed and one loose. All are in worn condition. A winding key present and two weights but no pendulum. The silvering to the central are of the dial is dirty, tarnished and with scuffs. The other elements also invariably and consistently worn commensurate with use and age. No lock present to the glass door of the hood but the door to the trunk with a key. The movement will need to be inspected and checked by specialist clock restorer and there is no guarantee of it's working order. It will require a full overhaul.

The clock complete with a single weight and pendulum.52.5cm wide x 27.5cm deep x 223cm highQty: 1Samuel Whittaker of Middleton Lancashire was the son of a blacksmith and whose brother James also was a clockmaker. Samuel died in 1746 but relatively few of his clocks appear to have survived, but those that do show skill and care and quality of craftmanship.The case showing some signs of repair, particularly to the cornice. Lacking the board across the top. The cheek supporting the movement replaced or altered, therefore suggesting that the movement and case possibly associated. The movement seemingly complete, but dusty and in need of a clean, with some possible restoration. The plinth almost certainly later, being stained pine.
