David Lucas (1802-1881) Dedham Vale, After John Constable, 1838, engraving, 58 x 50 cm, frame 89 x 78 cm Provenance: collection of Mr Magdi Obeid, purchased Bonhams 08/02/2010Condition:The print is framed under glazing – not examined external to the frame. The plate has full margins, the sheet looks generally good – no obvious faults or losses, there is some general ageing (browning) to the paper. Some sparsely distributed spots of foxing – predominantly in the margin, some isolated spots in the sky area of the plate. Frame has general wear and tear, joints appear solid.
After Heinrich Goltzius (Netherlandish School) The Holy Family with St John the Baptist, engraving, likely 19th century in date, 46.5 x 35 cm (PL), frame 72 x 61 cm Provenance: Collection of Mr Magdi Obeid, purchased Dominic Winter 18/07/2018 lot 16Condition:The item is a print, framed under glazing, not examined external to the frame. The sheet has some general ageing (browning) to the sheet, a few small tears to the edge visible to the centre and upper right edge, and to lower left corner, they do not appear to extend into the plate more than 2cm. The sheet is mounted in all four corners with clear plastic corner mounts. There is a small surface loss to the upper left- on one of the leaves of the branches (pictured) and another just below the cat snaring a bird on the windowsill (pictured). There are a number of dirt marks and stains to the exterior of the glass which need cleaning. The frame has some general wear and tear.

The plates have full margins. The Loch: has some old tears to the lower left and lower right margin, plate looks free of losses. There is foxing throughout the margins and some in the skyline of the plate. General ageing (Browning) to the sheet. Frame has general wear and tear including some surface chips, joints are solid. The Cornfield- the sheet appears fine and no obvious faults, there is foxing throughout the margins and some in the skyline. General aging (browning) visible. The frame has general wear and tear including some surface losses, joints are sound.

The sheet appears in generally good condition- no obvious tears or losses, the surface appears stable. There is a stain- possibly foxing spot- to the top centre in the background. There is an additional abrasion/faint stain to the lower left in the margin. The print has full margins, plate colouring still fresh. Frame has general wear and tear. The print is inscribed in pencil 'To Aria and Jersey Mitchell, the ... to one of the hop pickers, in gratitude from --- Clare Leighton'

The print has full margins, with blind stamp and signature present. The platemark is fully visible. Sheet is in good condition – no obvious tears, creases or faults. There is some general ageing (browning) to the sheet. Etching is clear and surface stable. The frame has general wear and tear.

The plate has full margins, there are some small crumples/tears to the edges of the margin including to the lower centre and upper left edge. There is a vertical tear visible measuring 4cm to the top left which extends into the plate. There is foxing to the mount, especially to the top edges, there are some sparsly distributed spots of foxing in the plate to the top margin and left corner area. Some general ageing (yellowing) of the sheet visible. The frame has general wear and tear, the joints appear solid

Chinese school Watercolour on print Reclining female figure in garden, 77cm x 52cm Condition Report Lower section appears to have been replaced/repainted as does another smaller section to the cheek of the figure. Creases throughout the picture. A large vertical rip to the top centre as well as two small rips to the pillar. A small hole to the left most fence section in the background. Some spots and marks throughout that do not appear original to the picture.Consignment from private individual, no further provenance is available.
