Imagery comes from the Pink Floyd 1975 USA Comic Tour Program. This was the "Dark Side of the Moon" tour of 1975. Storm Thorgerson worked on a lot of Pink Floyd as well as many other Rock and Roll album covers. Overall: 24 1/2 x 19 3/4 in. Sight: 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 in.

Signed in marker to lower margin. Originally from an edition of 160, framed and glazed. Storm Thorgerson: Many people agree that Storm Thorgerson is the best album designer in the world. Storm began Hipgnosis with Aubrey Powell in the 60’s, he ended up designing album covers for Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Genesis and countless others. Many say that Storm Thorgerson could genuinely claim to be the 6th member of Pink Floyd, certainly his visuals for them and others have played an essential part in rock and roll culture. "The Gates" New York City Central Park Installation project 2005, signed and framed print. Provenance: Metropolitan Museum of Art Gallery. Overall size: 27 x 23 1/2 in. Christo, an environmental installation artist and painter of architectural landscape drawings, became known for "wrapping" famous buildings and geographical landmarks with plastic and woven-fabric sheets. His projects, were usually achieved with the assistance of his wife and dealer Jeanne-Claude. The Christos oversaw the installation of one of their most attention-getting endeavors, The Gates, Central Park, New York, 1979-2005. Opening February 11 and lasting sixteen days, it was the biggest art project in the history of New York City. Seventy-five hundred frames, sixteen feet high, were placed at intervals along 23 miles of footpaths in the park. Suspended from the frames were orange tinted fabric banners, intended to convey a "splash of sunrise" and what was described as "a visual golden river".

The first fourteen volumes of Pearson’s Magazine, an English periodical published by C Arthur Pearson in London, with gilt decorated covers and gilt decorated spines. With the first appearance in print of H G Wells’ The War of the Worlds and Kipling’s Captains Courageous. Black and white illustrations. Pearson’s was a monthly magazine which printed short stories for authors like Upton Sinclair, George Bernard Shaw, H G Wells, and Kipling, among others. The covers measure 9 3/4 x 7 in. wide, and there is wear, scuffs, rubbing, light soiling, light fraying at the tips, and many of the volumes are loose and shaken.

She worked during her lifetime as a painter, printmaker, illustrator, and art teacher in Boston and Wellesley. She studied art formally at The Pratt Institute, New York under Arthur Dow. She is remembered primarily for her wood blocks, most now lost or destroyed. She also did highly colorful paintings, called a Celebration on Canvas Overall size: 12 1/4 x 15 1/4 in.
