A RARE VICTORIAN ENGRAVED CASTLE TOP VINAIGRETTE of shaped rectangular outline with rounded ends & a view of the old castle at Balmoral*, on the cover, gilt interior, by Nathaniel Mills, Birmingham 1851; 1.8" (4.8 cms) long; 0.6 oz *Queen Victoria & Prince Albert bought the lease of the old castle in 1848 & purchased the property in 1852. Finding the residence too small, a new place (the current Balmoral) was built. Construction began in 1853 & was completed in 1856. Sold with a photocopy of an old print, formerly in the possession of the Farquharsons of Balmoral.
A VICTORIAN ENGRAVED "CASTLETOP" CARD CASE of shaped oblong outline with a view of the Four Courts, Dublin on the front, the reverse with a cartouche, initialled, by Nathaniel Mills, Birmingham 1850; 3.5" (9 cms) high; 1.3 oz *Sold with an accompanying print, illustrating a different view of the Four Courts.

Tracey Emin signed the Monoprint Books at the Whitechapel Gallery in London in October 2009. "The Monoprint Diary" came as two books with one ISBN - one black and one blue based on Tracey's 1991 diary. Excellent.

John Linnell (1792 - 1882), oil on board - The Windmill, cattle and herders watering below a windmill in extensive landscape, in gilt and ebonised frame, 46cm x 59cm, together with a handwritten letter dated December 22nd 18?3, regarding the collection of two paintings (this possibly being one) and stating that Linnell wished to be paid in 'Bank of England notes at right figure and not a cheque'...signed Yours Faithfully J. Linnell, also included is a print published by The Art Portfolio, London. See The Tate Collection for the same image which was exhibited in 1845 and presented by Robert Vernon.
