A Worcester The Foxhunt pattern punch bowl, after a painting by James Seymour, engraved by Robert Hancock with a continuous print, `In Full Chase' with a continuous scene with mounted huntsmen galloping to hounds, being watched by farm folk, the fox disappearing, the interior with hounds, gilt dentil rim and formal florets around the inside, 29cm diam, 1765-68Provenance: The D.V. Pares Wilson Collection. Vendor's Note: As far as I can find out. Miss D, V. Pares Wilson is a race horse owner. She owned a number of Worcester Early Pieces all to do with horses. Note: Similar larger Punch Bowl in the Sir Jeremy Lever Collection, Bonhams, Part I, Lot 233 Condition Report: Internal print with some wear, fading and scratching. Rubbing to dentil rim. Stable firing crack to footrim.

A Worcester The King of Prussia' No.3 small teapot and cover, printed in monochrome with an engraving after Robert Hancock, with half-length portrait of the King of Prussia, a single Cupid with laurel wreath, the verso with Fame, blowing two trumpets, the handle and spout with stylised foliage, the cover with flower bud finial and printed with cannon and barrels with cannonballs, black line borders, 11.3cm high, c.1757Vendor's Note - This is the rarest of the three engravings of The King of Prussia that Robert Hancock produced for porcelain decoration. The print is signed RH (for Robert Hancock) Worcester and an anchor (the rebus of Richard Holdship, who seems to have been responsible for transfer-printing at the Worcester factory). In addition, half hidden in the scroll, R Hancock fecit Worcester is inscribedNote: This is such a rare piece, I can find none of the well-known catalogues with this design on a teapot in any description, so I cannot give a reference to it. Condition Report: Restored teapot. Nibbles to finial.

Joseph Handley Collection.Vendor's Note: This engraving by Hancock is copied from an engraving by Luke Sullivan, published in 1759 of a view of Woodbourne in Surrey. A print of the engraving is in the Schreiber Collection. Of Gladys L. Robertson the only reference to this lady are two items of porcelain from her collection one in the British Museum and another with her collection label both quoting labels from Albert Amor. Condition Report: Good condition. Spitting & manufacturing blemishes throughout.
