HMS Hood autographed print. Large print measuring 100cm x 60cm taken from the painting HMS Hood at Scapa Flow by John Sampson. This beautiful painting is believed to have been created by artist John Sampson in 1919 for one of the steel companies which produced the armour plate for H.M.S. Hood. That being said, it is quite possible that this was among the first commissioned paintings of Hood. The print has been signed in pencil by survivor Ted Briggs (1923 2008) who was one of only three people to survive the sinking of HMS Hood by The Bismarck. A rare autograph. Good condition.
