Klapheck/ Zwirner 33 C, 3. Zustand, mit der Pünktchenzone als Wolkenbank. - Eines von 80 Exemplaren, ohne die Farbafwalzung in Gelb. - Hg. Aimé Maeght, Paris. - Druck bei Hartmut Frielinghaus, Hamburg. - Konrad Klaphecks galt als Maler der Maschinen. Der Düsseldorfer Künstler setzte Gegenstände und Apparate monumental in Szene. Mit gesellschaftskritischen und psychoanalytischen Titeln verlieh der Künstler seinen Arbeiten eine Metaebene, mit denen er die Objekte und Apparate transformierte. Mit der Maschinenmalerei und dem Fokus auf die Dingwelt avancierte Klapheck zu einem Chronisten der BRD, die geprägt war von dem Wirtschaftswunder, der Aufrüstung und Technikbegeisterung. Der Vertreter der deutschen Nachkriegsavantgarde verstarb im Juli 2023 im Alter von 88 Jahren. Etching on wove paper. Signed and numbered. - Edges hardly noticeably bumped. Aimé Maeght, Paris. - Printed by Hartmut Frielinghaus, Hamburg. - Konrad Klaphecks was regarded as a painter of machines. The Düsseldorf artist staged objects and apparatuses monumentally. With socio-critical and psychoanalytical titles, the artist lent his works a meta-level with which he transformed the objects and apparatuses. With his machine painting and his focus on the world of things, Klapheck advanced to become a chronicler of the FRG, which was marked by the economic miracle, rearmament and enthusiasm for technology. The representative of the German post-war avant-garde died in July 2023 at the age of 88.
