This print was from a portfolio entitled 'The Great Storm of 1987 and its aftermath', which consisted of five wood engravings by different artists issued by the Society of Wood Engravers to raise funds for the National Trust tree replanting fund.

A very rare Flight Worcester mug, circa 1785Of generous cylindrical form, the underglaze blue ground printed with honeycomb diaper and a floral chain and other borders, the reserved panels printed in red overglaze with European landscape vignettes, the front circular panel with a print of two boys using a brood of freshly hatched chicks as an excuse to peer under the skirts of their female companion, 11.3cm high, disguised numeral mark in blue and rare red printed mark 'WORCESTER Manufactory FLIGHT'Footnotes:This mug, or another like it, was first reported in the 1950s and caused controversy as at that time the disguised numeral marks were believed to indicate a Caughley origin. This suggested that Flight acted as decorators of Caughley porcelain. Excavations at Worcester subsequently proved that the disguised numeral marks were used by Worcester during the Flight period. Train print. Showing Flying Scotsman in frame signed 'David Shepherd', H71cm x W104cm. Condition Report: Signed in pencil and numbered 813/850. Some discolouration to the print including possible fading and the edge has slightly yellowed. Some small spots of residue to the centre. No apparent tears or repairs however it has not been removed from the frame.
