A black and white print of John Lennon taken by Robert Freeman in 1965. The framed poster has been signed by the photographer for John’s childhood friend and former band mate, Pete Shotton. Robert has signed the bottom right of the print adding ‘Be happy, Peter!’ before his name and the date 9 Oct ‘88 below. The frame measures 84.5cm x 66.5cm (33.2 inches x 26.2 inches). There is some chipping to the frame, the condition is very good minus. The condition of the print is excellent. Provenance: from the collection of Pete Shotton. The print is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from his son, Matt, confirming the above.
A black three quarter length buttoned overcoat made with cloth from Crombie of Aberdeen for the mens clothing shop Dunn & Co. The coat measures 56cm (24 inches) across the chest and 110cm (43.25 inches) from collar to hem. There is some wear to the collar and sleeves. The condition is very good. Provenance: the coat was one of several items of clothing donated by Sir Paul McCartney to the Star Boot Sale 2015 in association with eBay for International Rescue Committee to provide winter packs for refugees fleeing the Syrian conflict. The item is accompanied by a letter of authenticity on Tracks Ltd letterhead and also a colour print out of the prices realised from the relevant part of the eBay auction together with illustrations.
A black and white 120 medium format negative bearing an image of Ringo Starr taken by Friedhelm Von Estorff during the filming of The Beatles’ 1964 film ‘A Hard Day’s Night’. The negative is being sold with all commercial and non-commercial exploitation/reproduction rights. (This means that the successful bidder will legally be able to print photographs from the negatives, use the image on merchandise such as t-shirts and posters, publish in magazines and films etc.) The condition of the negative is very good plus. It includes two postcards signed by Astrid Kirchherr, a Bob Gruen signed exhibition invitation, an envelope on which Mike McCartney has handwritten his address, a Klaus Voorman signed large format business card, a Jurgen Vollmer autograph, an Astrid Kirchherr and Mick Rock signed book plate, a Cynthia Lennon signed menu from the Beatles Festival in Germany dated 03.06 - 05.06.2006, a postcard and print each signed by the photographer Hans-Walter (Icke) Braun and a flyleaf from a Genesis publication signed by photographer Max Scheler. The largest item measures 30cm x 24cm (12 inches x 9.5 inches). The smallest item measures 10.5cm x 14.5cm (4 inches x 5.5 inches). There is some creasing to a few of the items. The condition ranges between very good plus and excellent. Provenance: from the collection of Ulf Krüger. Comes with a Tracks Ltd. certificate of authenticity.
