Amid 19th century, 1850s dress made from a fine wool cloth in lapis blue with the prettiest floral print. The dress has pagoda sleeves and pleated bodice with v waist. It fastens at the back with hooks in little holes with button hole stitched edges and it is lined with cotton. The lining is mottled with subtle foxing, and there are some patchy stains which aren’t seen from the outside. The cotton loop eye at the top of the fastenings has broken and the bottom hook has broken so this needs replacing to fasten all the way down. Both sides of the dress have holes caused by rubbing on the under arm and underarm area of the bodice . There is a tear at the hemline.
