The Hobby Horse Dealer. A horizontal format mounted, framed and glazed hand-coloured print published by G. Humphrey, 1819, again satirising the buying of hobby horses rather than the live animals. Frame size 15.75 x 19.5-inches (40 x 50cm), print size 10 x 14-inches (25.5 x 36cm). Good condition and colour; possibly a later impression of the original.

A horizontal format coloured print published by The Leadenhall Press, July 16, 1891 illustrating a busy scene in the country 2 miles from London, with numerous hobby horse riders and onlookers. Frame size 14.5 x 17-inches (37 x 43cm), print size including the decorative border and publisher's details 10.5 x 12.25-inches (27 x 31cm). Good colour, some light surface soiling.
Georges Meunier (1869-1942) 'Bloques'. A coloured lithographic print issued in 1905 in a limited edition of only 100 copies, this example numbered 60 and signed in pencil by the artist in the bottom margin on the right-hand side. The image is of a veteran car stranded in the middle of a field and surrounded by a huge flock of sheep, the driver and his two passengers gesticulating wildly while a group of farmworkers look on and a passenger train passes by on an embankment. Red print along the bottom margin reads: Ed. Sagot - Editeur - Paris. Imp. CHAIX, Paris - Tous droits reserves. Printed artist's signature and the date '05 in the bottom right-hand corner of the image. The image is reproduced in The Motor Car in Art by Zolomij, Automobile Quarterly Pub., 1990. Mounted, framed and glazed. Image size, including the margins, 14.25 x 20.75-inches (36 x 53cm). Good condition and colour.
Henri Mirande (1875-1955) 'Scorching'. An original sepia-coloured lithographic print published by Fortier et Marotte in March 1906, as indicated in the bottom left-hand corner of the image, depicting two children racing down a village street in their battered home-made car, a puppy balanced precariously on the rear, the effect being quite surreal. This is one of Mirande's celebrated humorous works. Printed artist's signature in the lower right-hand corner. Visible sheet size 17.75 x 21-inches (45 x 53cm). Mounted, framed and glazed. Some browning to the image, and a short (3cm) abrasion in the centre of the top edge of the sheet (not affecting the main image), otherwise good
Baxon - Marine Lithographic Print. An untitled coloured lithographic print dating from the early 1900s, depicting a small powerboat surging through the water, apparently off the Mediterranean coast, the driver accompanied by an attractive young lady passenger. Mounted and framed, but unglazed. Image size 16.75 x 22-inches (43 x 56cm). Some foxing and fading. The lot also includes a mounted colour print of a painting by Alfred Strutt (1856-1924) showing a driver attending to his early 1900-period broken-down car while his passengers, as well ,as a group of horses, look on, plus another mounted print in the manner of Frederick Gordon Crosby (1885-1943) entitled 'The Crucial Moment in the 1938 British Empire Trophy Race'. Rene Choquet (1872-1958) Un Match Inattendu. A coloured lithographic print showing a dramatic early 20th Century race between a steam locomotive and a motor car, with frightening consequences for the car's passengers, a horse-drawn wagonette, and a road worker. Text in the lower margin indicates that the image was printed by the Minot Establishment in January 1906 for L'Estampe Sportive Artistique, with the monogram of the latter and the title in the centre. Mounted on a white sheet, framed and glazed. Print size 13.75 x 20.5-inches (35 x 52cm). Good condition, with excellent colour.
Roy Nockolds 'Speed'. A limited edition (1/25) lithographic print of his original oil painting, framed and glazed, 85 x 65-cms. Also, a print of RMS Berengaria leaving Liverpool, framed and glazed, and two quality prints of the tugboat 'Hercules' leaving a Dutch harbour, unframed but held in a portfolio folder, 100 x 70-cms.
