Spode bat-printed Dessert Wares, a large fruit stand with gilt borders, and a pair of shell-shaped Dishes, en suite, all with pattern no 1222 in red, all very slight gilding wear, 37.5 and 24.8cm (3). The patterns are Morning or the Benevolent Sportsman after George Morland, Game Birds and Greyhounds and Fox. See Spode nos P422; P402 and P414-1. This last is the first and rarer version of the print which was re-engraved to remove the fox and replace it with a hare.
