After Bruce Murray, Legends of Summer, Babe Ruth, Jimmie Foxx, and Lou Gehrig.- a sepia photographic print, originally taken by the players photographer friend, Bruce Murray, at Shibe Park, Philadelphia, c.1930, depicted are three of the best hitters of all time, right Lou Gehrig (1903-1941) left Babe Ruth (1895-1948) both members of the New York Yankees, and centre Jimmie Foxx (1907-1967) a member of Philadelphia Athletics, 11 x 14 inches.Condition Report: good condition.

Autographs, WW2 related.- Holocaust Survivor and author, Iby Knil, a Signed black and white photograph of the entrance to Auschwitz Birkenau, Poland, 12 x 8 inches; with a COA from Chaucer Auctions; Where Eagles Dare (1968) photo print, signed by actor, Derren Nesbitt, 16 x 12 inches; with accompanying COA from Chaucer Auctions; together with a black and white photograph of General Anton Dostler, the first German General to be executed after WW2. Dostler was found guilty of war crimes during the Italian campaign in March, 1944 and faced a firing squad on December 1, 1944, 10 x 8 inches; Memphis Belle (1944) a sepia publicity photograph, 10 x 8 inches. (3) Julia Marlowe(1865-1950) and Edward Hugh Sothern (1859-1933) began a successful partnership in 1904, becoming known as the premier Shakespearean actors of the day. Provenance: The Collection of British puppeteer, Christine Glanville (1924-1999). Glanville's long collaboration with Gerry Anderson began in 1956 as a puppet operator on the Twizzle And Torchy TV. series. She went on to design, sculpt and operate many leading characters including Four Feather Falls, Supercar, Fireball XL5, Stingray, Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet And The Mysterons, Terrahawks and Andersons unscreenedSpace Policepilot episode.Glanville secured the stage rights to Rupert Bear from the Daily Express in the 1970s and formed The Stage Three Company with fellow Century 21 puppeteers, Rowena White and David Ross.Glanville was a grandniece of Robert Peel Glanville Blatchford (1851-1943) socialist campaigner, journalist, and author, and her grandfather was Punch cartoonist, Montagu Blatchford.

Montagu Blatchford was a cartoonist with Punch magazine.Provenance: The Collection of Christine Glanville (1924-1999) British puppeteer, grandniece of Robert Blatchford and granddaughter of Montagu Blatchford.Christine Glanville's long association with Gerry Anderson began in 1956. Story Musgrave, Signed Nasa First Day Cover, 1967; and a photograph.- a pair of first issue, attached stamps with a continuous design by artist, Paul Calle, on an inset official envelope with printed title, postmarked Kennedy Space Centre, Florida, September 29, 1967, Signed on the envelope lower centre by astronaut, Story Musgrave, with an inset colour photographic print above, 9 ¼ x 7 ¼ inches within mount, mounted, framed, and glazed, 52.5 x 38.5cm overall; together with a large glass demijohn with Nasa stickers, H.52cm. (2) Story Musgrave (b. 1935) astronaut, physician, electrical engineer, and test pilot, had flown 160 types of aircraft and was accepted into NASA's scientist-astronaut program in 1967. The US. Post Office issued these First Day cover, often known as the Space Twins, in conjunction with Nasas 9th Anniversary. Paul Calles design was based on astronaut, Ed Whites Gemini 4 space-walk in June 1965; a first day issue ceremony was also held on 29 September 1967 at the Kennedy Space Centre, the launch site of the Gemini 4 mission.
