19th c. German violin after an Italian Amati instrument. The bow is of German origin and is stamped "Dodd," after the English maker John Dodd. With a felt-lined leather case and an embroidered felt and cloth cushion to protect the violin. Frame shows signs of wear including rubbing and knocks with some fraying to the fabric. Appears to have been re-framed.
