A late Victorian carved oak aneroid 'banjo' barometer, with thermometer having silvered indices, the barometer with printed 7.5-inch (19cm) earthenware dial, 85cm.Condition report: Case: fair to good with only minor signs of age and use. Main dial fair with strong print and enamel, fine faint crazing overall but not disfiguring. Barometer movement appears operable but cannot be guaranteed. Thermometer is intact but not working.

The sheet appears in good condition, there are no obvious signs of any tears or losses and the surface appears stable. The colours are well preserved and bright. The frame is in good condition with solid joints and only minor evidence of wear and tear.
