NB: Whilst touring in Canada in 2007, Montreal's wet weather encouraged Billy Connolly to invest in some felt tip pens and a sketchbook. Over a period of time, Connolly's drawings of little islands became intricate shapes - and 'Born On A Rainy Day' began. In his sixth release of the series, Billy Connolly's unique sense of humour is conveyed. His works are defined by black and white lines, a sense of surrealism, and an increased use of colour. The characters also appear to be more simplistic.PROVENANCE OF THIS LOT: These were privately purchased shortly after their release at Castle Fine Art, The Three Teds print was framed by Castle Fine Art, by request of the vendor. The remaining prints are still sealed and contained within packaging, but with permission from the vendor have carefully been opened for purpose of condition report.
