Autograph AlbumsTwo nineteenth century albums;The first album contains autograph letters, signed envelopes and cropped signatures of nineteenth century aristocrats, politicians, authors, etc., including several envelopes with 'free' postmarks from the Bishop of Derry, Benjamin Disraeli and others, a collection of admission slips to the Commons Gallery signed by Lord Elcho, William Ewart, Gladstone and others, the signatures of Charles Dickens, Gladstone and others on envelopes (including numerous Dukes, Earls and Lords), a cropped signature 'Dickens', a 2 page ALS from Downing Street (1842), a 2 page ALS from the 3rd Earl Grey on behalf of Prince Albert at Balmoral (1856), a cropped note from William Thackeray and a 1 page ALS from the Duke of Wellington, (1839); worn leather binding, lacking backstrip;The second album also contains ALsS, signed envelopes and cropped signatures, many from aristocrats and leading clergy including Bishops and Deans, a print and manuscript Irish court appointment signed by John and William Walcott, 1708 (bottom corner torn) and a 3 page ALS from Lord Raglan, a number of letters loosely inserted including two four page ALsS from Elinor Glyn, of WWI interest, in which she discusses a visit to the English front and time spent with the English wounded (one envelope present dated 1917). The vendor was taken by her family to meet Laurel and Hardy at Southport c.1951/2. The autograph letter dated 1952 reads: 'It was so nice to meet you both and I enjoyed your visit to Southport very much'. The letter dated 1957 reads: 'Due to the death of Mr Hardy, my correspondence has been neglected for a while, I was very upset over the sad affair and miss him very much'.

Shames and Private 1st Class Ed Tipper presented in a display box QTY: (2)NOTE:The print and helmet were produced in 1992 by the Military Gallery in a limited edition of 101 and shows the men of Easy Company, 101st Airborn, preparing to leave Upottery Airfield onboard C-47's which were scheduled to carry them into France on the night of 5 June 1944 ahead of the D-Day landings. They crossed the French coast in complete darkness, under heavy anti-aircraft fire, and parachuted into Normandy landing near the village of St.Mère Eglise. Their historic drop launched the first action of D-Day and spearheaded the mass landing of Allied forces.This particular edition of the print and helmet has been additionally signed and it seems likely the previous owner took them to America and military conventions.
Hawker Hunter Tower Bridge Incident. Follow That! by Squadron Leader Paul Wharmby 2005, Limited Edition colour print numbered 36/50, showing Flight Lieutenant Alan Pollock RAF celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Royal Air Force on the 5th (the original printed date of the 1st omitted and inscribed by Pollock 5th in black ink) of April 1968 in his own style, signed in pencil by the pilot and the artist, image size 25 x 30cm, framed and glazed, frame size 42 x 45cm, together with three first day covers all signed by Flt. Lt. Lt. Alan Pollock in his Hawker Hunter. After tippings his wings to the War memorial, Pollock 'buzzed' the House of Commons "to remind them we had an Air Force", and then 'shot' Tower Bridge. His actions were to mark the 50th Anniversary of the founding of the Royal Air Force and also as a demonstration against the minimal official recognition for his historic landmark.
