A group of four vintage NASA Langley Research Center gelatin silver prints, various frames, medium and high resolutions images of the Moon's areas of the Copernicus crater, Herschel and Spörer areas the edge of Sinus Medii. Captioned in bottom margins with their respective numbers NASA LRC II-162H2, II-162H3, II-93H1. Sized: NASA LRC II-93H1: 51 x 61cm (20 x 23 ½ inches), image 47 x 55 cm (18½ x 21½ inches). NASA LRC II-162H2: 51 x 61cm (20 x 23 ½ inches), image 47 x 57 cm (18½ x 22½ inches); NASA LRC II-162H3: 51 x 61cm (20 x 23 ½ inches), image 48 x 50 cm (19 x 20 inches). The latter image (II-162H3) was hailed by Life Magazine as "The Picture of the Century". This was the first image of the Moon taken from an oblique angle and provided a view of the Moon's mountains and valleys. The image was taken on the 24th November 1966. Eleven items related to lunar photography from the first mission of the Orbiter. Ten NASA press photographs, gelatin silver prints, of images of the Moon taken by the Lunar Orbiter 1, each showing a different section of the craterous surface. The photographs include the first high resolution image of the Moon's far side, never seen from the Earth. The collection includes three official NASA "Black Number' prints: L-66-6358, L-66-6400, L-66-7838. Also included are the following images: 66-H-1120, 66-H-1117, 66-H-1114, 66-H-2362, 66-H-1293, 66-H-1300. Four of the prints feature NASA captions printed on the reverse (two mimeographed in violet and two in black) while others retain press captions affixed to the reverse, providing the details of the time and date when the photographs were taken as well as the stations which received and released the photographs All photographs measure approximately 26.5 x 20.5 cm (10 ½ x 8 inches), with margins. Accompanied by NASA press release number 66-251 Lunar Orbiter Circles the Moon, Snaps Pictures, for immediate release on September 14, 1966, announcing the first pictures of the Moon taken by Lunar Orbiter I. The Lunar Orbiter program was a series of five unmanned lunar orbiter missions launched by the United States from 1966 through 1967. The aim of the program was to select Apollo landing sites by mapping the Moon's surface. The missions provided the first photographs from lunar orbit and photographed both the Moon and Earth. In all, Lunar Orbiter took 200 photographs with medium and high resolution lenses. Lunar Orbiter 1 was launched on the 10th August 1966. During its 35-day mission, Lunar Orbiter 1 collected an enormous quantity of data on the topography of the lunar surface. A total of 413 high- and moderate-resolution photographs were taken. BEATLES POLL WINNERS CONCERT 1963 PHOTOGRAPH WITH COPYRIGHT. A 35mm transparency of an image depicting The Beatles on stage at the NME Poll Winners concert at Wembley Empire Pool in April 1965. The image was taken by the vendor who was present at the concert and the lot is sold with full copyright transferral. Accompanied by letter or provenance and also an approx 8 x 10" photo print of the image.

Roses and Ian Brown titles are The Stone Roses (UK ORE LP 502, early copy with orange/black labels, not embossed sleeve - very fine Ex condition record/with printed inner in Ex+ condition/Ex light edgewear), What The World Is Waiting For/Fools Gold (ORE T 13, with hype sticker, no print - Ex+/Ex), Elephant Stone (ORE T1, red cat. number - Ex+/Ex), One Love (ORE T 17 - VG+/VG+), Made Of Stone (7", ORE 2 - Ex/VG+) and Dolphins Were Monkeys (ltd edition 7", VG+ copy). Also with a promo flyer for the 2016 RSD for Ian Brown's Solarized. Also with a 12" white label of Happy Mondays - Wrote For Luck (WFL) (FAC 232 - Ex).
FAMILY DOG / SAN FRANCISCO POSTERS. Three later printings of classic Family Dog designs, to include: Youngbloods at Avalon Ballroom 1967 (Victor Moscoso design, 2nd print, 14 x 20", NM), Psychedelic Shop with Rick Griffin design (14 x 19.5", NM), Genesis (60s Genesis!) at Avalon Ballroom (Bob Fried design, 1st print, 14 x 21", NM).

*Lucinda Douglas-Menzies (b.1956), signed limited edition black and white bromide fibre based print - Lord Zuckerman holding an animal skull, March 1990 , signed and titled verso, 1/12, unframed, 45cm x 40.5cm NB: Lord Zuckerman (1904-1993), "Solly", Baron Zuckerman was a British public servant, zoologist and operational research pioneer. Some of his most famous scientific work was as adviser to the Allies on their bombing strategy in the Second World War

N.B. Dame Alix Meynell (1903 - 1999), lived at Cobbolds Mill, Monks Eleigh, with her husband Sir Francis Meynell. She was responsible for introducing utility furniture during the Second World War, which she is surrounded by in her kitchen in this image
