A Victorian walnut 30cm symphonion The centre drive disc playing on two combs, one stamped 64414, contained in a walnut veneered case with a rectangular inset panel stamped with birds perched amongst flowering branches, lions mask ring handle, the hinged cover with a print of winged musical cherubs, winding lever at the front and side handle with outset fluted vase shape columns raised upon a plinth base with nine metal discs. 23x49x37cms (illustrated) CONDITION REPORT: Working order.
A framed poster advertising the Union Castle Line South African Royal Mail Service with a picture of the RMS Dunottar Castle and their agent HW Rippon, Tower House, Redruth 53 x 68cm, together with a similar poster for the Gold Fields of South Africa with a chromolithographic print of the ship Roslin Castle 49 x 33cm and an oak frame. Condition Report: The Castle Line poster is a modern copy. The Union Castle Line poster is yellowed as per online images. Some staining. Neat repairs to top right corner.
