WARTIME FOOTBALL Scarce Wartime Football Bible "Datasport Book of Wartime Football", produced in 1985 contains Wartime diary of games played goal-scorers , includes friendly matches and has a great deal of statistical information for the period between 1939-46. Signed by the author Gordon Andrews and in very good condition. The book has been out of print for many years. Very good

IN THE BEGINNING Scarce framed limited edition print, 409/1000, by Alan Bean. "In the Beginning" commemorates 20 July 1969 and the Apollo space program, signed by 19 astronauts including Schirra, Cunningham, Burman, McDivitt, Stafford, Aldrin, Bean, Conrad, Shepard, Scott, Duke and Schmitt. Also 2 astronauts from Apollo 13 (Fred Haise and one other). Size approx 36" x 36". Buyer to collect or arrange carriage. Very good
Francis Bacon (1909-1972) three studies for a self-portrait, lithograph in colour, 1979, on Arches watermarked paper, signed in pencil and numbered , XIX/XXV, aside from the edition of 150, published by Editions de la Difference, Paris, with full margins, (16.25" x 40" overall showing in the mount) (not inspected out of the frame) sold with an easel and two boards said by Miss Beston (see below) to have come from the Studio of Francis Bacon PROVENANCE; The gift of Valerie Beston to the present vendor. This lot is being sold by Mr Gerard Grover, who for 14 years was head packer at the Battersea shipping and storage company T. Rogers & Co., which Miss Beston used often to transport fine art to exhibitions around the country. She gave the picture to Mr Grover in 1988 on the birth of his son, Ryan. Another print in this series XII/XXV was sold lot 419 in the sale of the Collection of the late Miss Beston at Christies on 10th February 2006.
