BUSH HOLLYHEAD - LIZA MINELLI ORIGINAL ARTWORK. Collection of work from the studio of Bush Hollyhead, an acclaimed graphic designer who worked on artwork for Paul McCatney, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and more both with NTA and the Hipgnosis collective. This lot includes work done for 'Club International' in 1973 and includes an original sketch with annotations (pinned to thin card, 37 x 44cm) of Liza Minelli, a proof print and an example of the printed piece.

This lot includes original work by Bush completed in the mid 70's which featured in a number of publications during that period. To include: an original proof sketch with annotations pinned to thin card, a proof print of the piece, a printed copy of the work, two original 'Who Put the Boot In' unused stickers.

*Mary Fedden (1915-2012) signed limited edition print, Aldeburgh Fishing Boat, 2003, signed in pencil and numbered 138/150, with Curwen Chilford blindstamp, unframed 16.5 x 18.5cm.Condition report: The work doesn't appear to have been stored particularly safely as there are some creases across the paper, although saying that, once it is mounted and framed these wouldn't be as noticeable. The colours are good and there is no foxing or staining to the outer edges.

A small foxing spot beneath the 'T', however it is very faint, otherwise very good condition. The work is unnumbered and we believe it to be an authentic print and not one removed from a book. It has come from a deceased estate of good East Anglian pictures and porcelain entered in this sale.
A late 17th century silver dressing table box, unmarked, circa 1680, circular form, the pull-off cover with an embossed relief of Ajax committing suicide, the sides with chased foliate decoration on a matted background, diameter 8.8cm, approx. weight 7.5oz. Provenance: A Private Collection. Alastair Dickenson Ltd. Woolley and Wallis, Salisbury, Fine Silver and Objects of Vertu, 25 April, 2017, lot 1017. The scene is taken from a print in the Rijksmuseum by Crispin Van de Passe (1564-1637). He was the father of Simon Van de Passe, who was best remembered for finely engraved silver counters in the first half of the 17th century.
