A sought after and collectable casemaker, Dennison produced watch cases for some of the most famous watch companies, including Rolex as in this example.

Royals (134188) who served in Egypt, Malta, the Middle East, North Africa and Sicily Included with the lot is a copy of part of a letter written by V.C. Royals to his mother in April 1943, during his time stationed at RAF Hal-Far, Malta, as a pilot officer. In it he writes, "I have now flown a new type of aircraft - a Hurricane. I like them very much indeed and I like my job here very much, far better than the other one in the Middle East." Sqd Ldr Royals flew many different aircraft during his wartime career, including both the Spitfire and Hurricane as well as light to medium bombers, including the Beaufort and Beaufighter. He resigned his commission in 1953. Other Notes: During the Second World War, the Air Ministry ordered watches from several different manufacturers. This is an example of one of the watches ordered from Omega for use by pilots/navigators in the RAF. The military coding to the case back, '6B/159', specifically relates to this use and the 'AM' initials are an abbreviation of 'Air Ministry'.

A fancy link necklace, comprising alternating short lengths of textured byzantine link chain and hollow pierced box sections, to a bolt ring fastening, unhallmarked but tests to gold, with part marked jump ring, length 47cm, weight 26.7g There is a good deal of tarnishing on the chain, so it would benefit from a good clean.  The gold is variable in colour, which may partly be due to tarnish;  acid testing gives differing results, but mainly for mid-quality gold (14 / 15ct).  Some of the fancy byzantine links have loose central encircling parts, but all links appear to be supple and secure.  The clasp and jump ring are probably not original.

A coral and diamond dress ring, the high domed cabochon crescent of salmon pink coral set between two bands each containing two pavé set round brilliant cut diamonds, to plain shoulders and slightly tapering shank, size L, unhallmarked but stamped inside '585' Gross weight 5.60g. The coral is an arch, which measures 17mm span across the base (outside of the springing points), 6mm height from under the arch to the top (9mm from the springing point to the top), and is approximately 6.5mm thick. The coral is natural and shows no sign of dye or other treatment; it has minor scuffs but still a pleasing gleam of polish.The setting has wear and tear commensurate with age; the diamonds add class, but are unexciting.
