Intense yellow carved glass box with polychrome enameled decorations. Made to keep an archer's ring, it has a cylindrical shape on the inside where the ring is inserted later.It shows on the outside of the lid, a continuous scene of small orange bats with outstretched wings, fluttering among elongated peach tree branches laden with fleshy fruit. The upper area of the lid features an auspicious character surrounded by five bats. The base shows a thin decorative border of semicircles holding flower petals on a red background. Vase “cong” of square plan, arranged on a short circular foot. It has a stylized body, adorned by two lateral handles arranged in the upper area in the form of an elephant's head holding a fixed ring. Crowned by a low neck and a circular mouth. The piece is covered by a glaze of intense sapphire color, slightly thinner on the edges where it allows the white color of the porcelain to show through. With six-character seal “大清咸丰年制” arranged on the base in underglaze blue. Carved amber snuff bottle. It has the shape of a vase with a flat profile, elongated and rounded body, which narrows at the neck, ending in a circular mouth. It is adorned by two handles arranged at the height of the neck, in the shape of the head of an enraged mythical beast, with open jaws from which half a ring comes out and completes the handle.The bottle shows on the edge of the mouth, two decorative borders of banana leaves and geometric spirals, followed by two other borders, located at the height of the shoulders, of auspicious symbols “shou” and small ruyis. The body is carved on both sides, representing on one of them a small pond with sinuous waves and large flowering lotuses; and on the other, a beautiful tree with a thick trunk and flowering branches. Archer's ring (板指) of carved Hetian white jade. The shape is smooth, with slightly rounded top edge and undecorated exterior. It is accompanied by an embroidered cloth pouch and a small wooden box of circular plan, with decorations arranged as a border, depicting birds and characters on a background covered with interlacing scrolls. This type of ring is placed on the pulling finger (thumb of the right hand) when practicing archery. Over time they have become more decorative than functional. Censer of carved bamboo wood. Arranged on three large feet in the shape of a mythical beast, with an enraged look and open jaws. Above them, there is a rounded body, decorated with reliefs showing two faces, one on each side, with a wide nose, penetrating gaze and arched eyebrows, resembling sinuous clouds.The neck shows, in its outermost part, a thin rim decorated with a succession of incised geometric elements and on it, two heads of mythological beasts with open jaws and a long curled tongue that joins the body and from which hangs a movable ring. A large Chinese Famille Verte vase of baluster form, decorated with a peacock in landscape, four claw dragon, symbols and floral decoration, bearing double ring and six character mark to underside, height 46cm.Condition Report: The vase has glaze faults to the main body, moulding faults to the inside of the rim which do not appear to be cracks but please see images. Other scracthes and scuffs to the body. Some crazing here and there, heaviest to the blue pooling area. There is a large star crack to the base and chips and imperfections to the glaze on the base. Vase not examined under UV. Staining to the glaze on the underside and to the inside of the vase, perhaps to make it look older. please see additional images.

Robert Davies of Gwyfamily Esy Pati’ck Elly of Wrexam Esq & other authentic authors by John Salisbury de Erbystock 1671’, the title beneath an ink drawing of an armorial shield with two lion rampant, scroll length approx. 101cm (1)Condition Report: The scroll was found in a house in Macclesfield in 1971 when a relation of the vendor died. There is no history of the scroll known before this date. The scroll is dated 1671 however, it is not known if the scroll was written at this time or later in the 18th century. The paper does have watermarks but there is not date in the watermark. Please see additinal images uploaded.
