The setting and shank appears to be platinum and/or 18ct white gold, not hallmarked, good condition commensurate with age. Weighs approximately 4.0grams.

The diamond is a lively stone that appears to be of good colour and clarity, no obvious inclusions, small inclusions when viewed with a loupe, one small white inclusion only just visible to the naked eye but not obvious. Colour and clarity difficult to estimate due to the restrictions of the setting. Weighs approximately 8.5 grams.

There is surface dirt on the miniatures and slight damage, possibly caused by water/moisture getting beneath the glass, mostly affecting the background rather than the faces. The glass appears to be original and in good condition, one side has a scratch in the corner and a slight blemish on the other corner. No obvious signs of any damage or repairs, the swivel mechanism works well. Not hallmarked or tested but probably 9ct or 15ct gold. Weighs approximately 4.9 grams.

Not hallmarked and not tested but presumably 9ct gold. Weighs approximately 4.2 grams.
Late Victorian opal and diamond heart shape ring with a heart-shape opal surrounded by a border of old cut and rose cut diamonds in silver setting with two further diamonds to the foliate scroll shoulders on gold shank, ring size K.The heart shaped cluster measures approximately 10.2mm x 9.8mm. The opal measures approximately 7mm x 6mm. The opal is in good condition, no chips or cracks, light surface scratches commensurate with age. The opal has a good play of colour, displaying green, blue and pink tones. One single cut diamond to the shoulder might be a replacement stone but the rest of the diamonds are all old cut stones and original to the setting. The shank has been enlarged and strengthened with the addition of a gold slip inserted to the inside of the shank, associated solder, fairly crude. Weighs approximately 3.5 grams.
