An Uncommon Vintage Bassett-Lowke Live Steam Traction Engine, in original box and finished in crimson and black with red lining, wheels in yellow with red lining, overall length approx 15" (1" scale), with double-acting single cylinder, 3½" disc flywheel, reversing lever from footplate, regulator, gear drive to right wheel and screw-operated brake to left side, worm steering (chain broken on one side), safety valve, water gauge and straked wheels to rear, slightly modified with rubber tyres fitted all round, a 'Markie' pressure gauge and 'ring-type' spirit burner currently fitted in place of the B-L originals (the B-L spirit burner and tank are included in the lot, but not the original pressure gauge), overall G-VG, would benefit from careful cleaning, complete with a condition/overhaul report and boiler test certificate from Markie models dated 2005, which quotes original build date as 1955, box F-G, scuffs to corners and old tape damage

A George III mahogany musical bracket clock, by John Taylor, London, chiming the quarters on two bells, the triple fusee movement with crown wheel escapement and bob pendulum, the bell top case with a moulded cornice above a partially silvered and gilt brass arched dial with centre date arrow, flanked by side handles and pierced gilt grilles, on foliate cast gilt feet, 40cm wide 24cm deep 52cm highCondition report: Good colour patina, splits to crossgrained veneer on door, door lock missing, silk fret backing replaced, putty holding glass has deteriorated and fallen out in places. Splits to veneer on sides. Signs of glued repairs on plinth corners. Hinge screws not matching. Silvering on chapter ring and subsidiary dial in arch has blackening to edges. Front door has come apart at top of hinge side.Back of clock - door has come apart completely at top of hinge side and beading holding glass has fallen out. Door lock missing and modern brass knob substituted. Inside of door has two missing pieces of wood that seem to have been cut out.Crossgrained veneer on vertical edges of case cracked, some glued back, one piece missing. Back of plinth base has two pieces of veneer missing to ends.

Both covers have the foo dog reglued with losses, and have small chips to the rims. One cover also has a hairline on the rim. Both vases have glaze wear to the rim and to the masks. One has a small chip under one handle and one to the footrim.

Ring size O.Condition report: The aquamarine has a small chip on the edge of the stone under the setting. The diamonds are of poor clarity. Gross weight approximately 3.4 grams.

No obvious draw of colour, possibly K/L colour grade, a very lively bright stone. The girdle is slightly rough and there are a few minute chips. No cracks or fissures. The claws and setting are in good condition commensurate with age. Gross weight approximately 2.6 grams.

The rose cut diamonds are typically crudely cut and all stones appear original to the piece. The bezel/plaque measures approximately 15.5mm x 14mm. Not hallmarked but probably platinum setting on a yellow gold shank which tests as approximately 18ct gold. Shank in good condition commensurate with age. Gross weight approximately 2.8 grams.
