A 17th Century brass lantern clock by Deodatus Threlkeld (1658-1723), Newcastle, circa 1680, strapped bell over urn finials, foliate frets, turned columns and ringed ball feet, the top plate with hoop over a pair of spikes set into the column bases, the 6.25 inch Roman numeral chapter ring with D. Threlkeld, Newcastle engraved with foliate decoration, the weight driven movement with two independent wheel trains, the later restored verge escapement with balance wheel control and countwheel strike on the bell. 36cm HDeodatus Threlkeld did his apprenticeship with London clockmaker Abraham Fromanteel at the age of 14 until he was 21, then he set up his own business based in Newcastle in 1680. His business outwitted competitors with Threlkeld’s craftsmanship and his shrewd business skills, the likes of John Davies, George Carter and John Carter in the early years of Threlkeld’s business.
A George III revival brass mounted ebonised quarter chiming bracket clock, unsigned, chiming graduated nest of bells and an hour gong, brass urn finials and brass foliage mounts on a moulded top, above an (18cm H x 12cm W) arched brass dial with matted centre within applied silvered Roman numeral chapter ring with fleur-de-lys half hour markers and Arabic five minutes to outer track, foliate scroll cast gilt spandrels beneath arch incorporating subsidiary chimes or silent and chime on eight bells/Cambridge chimes, flanked by pierced handles, above foliate sound frets, winged by brass female cherubs on foliate decoration to the angle, on a plinth apron raised on scrolling feet. 41cm H x 21cm W x 16cm D
A George III oak and mahogany 8-day longcase clock by Jesse Torkington, Newcastle under Lyme, circa 1775, moulded cornice above a square form glazed hood, enclosing a 13inch brass dial, mounted with foliage spandrel, silver chaptered ring engraved with Roman numerals and quarter an hour Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds dial, engraved with the makers name and town, twin wind up keyholes, date aperture, flanked by fluted brass top columns, over a single panel door, above a skirted base, raised on carved bracket feet. Note:Jesse Torkington was an apprentice to John Whitehurst (Derby) in 1762. Torkington was active from 1762 working in Newcastle under Lyme in Staffordshire until 1789, then worked in Whitchurch in Shropshire until 1799.

Two opal rings. One in Rose coloured gold - no hall mark. Opal set with three pink coloured stones to either side. (1 missing) total weight 2.7gm Ring size 6.5. The other white coloured metal with indistinct hall mark, opal surrounded with orange coloured stones. Ring size 5.
