Settings are in good condition. Diamonds are a variety of colours and clarity, with one significantly drawing colour. The mount with minor surface scratches and blemishes, commensurate with being worn. Shank shows no obvious signs of thinning or repair

A pair of Victorian silver mounted opera glasses, 'EL' Birmingham 1882, the floriate embossed glasses, 6.5cm high, within a fitted leather case with wooden backed hinged lid (at fault) CONDITION REPORT:The glasses are working and can be focussed, however the focus mechanism is loose and appears to be lacking a section at the base. As a result the eyecup lenses do not retract into the barrels without manual manipulation. The focus ring shows a full depth split, but remains functional. The brass eye cups show some dents, and the silver barrel sleeves show surface wear and polish residue throughout. The leather case shows heavy wear to the exterior, and deterioration and losses to the interior lining.

The coffee pot shows a small glazing fault to the underside of the spout, and a further small glazing fault to the underside of the cover. The sucrier shows a minor glazing fault to the underside of the cover. The coffee cans and saucers show the odd small pit and frit to the foot rims. All ring when pinged. The dinner plates show more extensive surface scratches including to the gilt, the odd firing frit, and the odd glazing fault (including to the foot rims).

The glasses all ring when pinged.
