(227.5cm.) high.

An early 18th century walnut longcase clock by John Wise of London, eight day movement, square brass dial with silvered and signed Roman chapter ring and subsidiary seconds dial at noon to the matted centre, bullseye date aperture at six, pierced gilt cherub spandrels, the flared ogee cornice over a scroll fretwork frieze on turned pilasters, feather banded glazed door, the conforming trunk with quarter veneered door with oval porthole, on a cross banded base on plinth, 87in. (221cm.) high, alterations and restorations.

A Winterhalder and Hofmeier quarter striking mantel clock, c.1900, the arched silvered dial with Roman chapter ring and subsidiary Chime/Silent and Slow/Fast dials to arch, signed for retailer 'Mackay & Chisholm Edinburgh', the brass 8 day movement striking two gongs, signed 'W&H SCH 2', in an arched walnut case with brass stop fluted pilasters and gilt brass bun feet, 14in. (35.5cm.) high. * Condition: In working order. Chime working and striking on the quarter and half, but does not stop without the hands being moved on manually. Requires attention. Silk to back grille in poor condition. Some wear and tarnish spotting to silvered dial. Two small filled holes from presentation plaque below door. Case in good condition overall, but with some fading to right side.
