Imperial German Train Battalion Officers Sword, fine example of the pattern sword carried by Train battalion and Supply officers. Swept hilt guard with fixed rear. Composite black covered grip without wire binding and nickel silver plated mounts. Housed in the original black painted scabbard with single hanging ring. Slightly curved single edged blade with fine etched panels to three quarters of both sides. The blade with blued panel giving the name of the officer and regimental details, “Martin Gerbl K.B.1 Train Bat 1912/14”. The reverse side of the blade etched with foliage, trophy of arms and motto on blued backing panel. The blade has early Carl Eickhorn makers trademark. The blade measures 81cms, overall 97cms.
Imperial German Leib-Garde Hussar Regiment Officers Sword, model 1889 cavalry sword with folding guard having Prussian eagle to central cartouche. Plain black composite covered grip without wire binding. Housed in a black painted steel scabbard with fixed single hanging ring and belt bar to the reverse. Straight single edged blade with etching and blue panels to both sides. Regimentally marked to the central blue panel in gothic script “Leib-Garde Husaren Regt”. No makers trade mark to the blade. The blade measures 80 ½ cms, overall 100cms. Sword shows some wear and tarnishing but still marked to one of the elite cavalry regiments of the Imperial German army.
Imperial German Model 1889 Garde Officers Sword, good untouched example of the model 1889 pattern officers sword with folding guard having Prussian eagle to the cartouche. Fine relief to the knuckle bow and steeped pommel. Grip retains the original wire binding and Garde regiments starburst. Housed in its steel scabbard with fixed single hanging ring. Straight single edged blade with double fullers. No makers trade mark to the blade. Some light surface staining. The blade measures 76cms, overall 99cms.
Third Reich SA Dress Dagger by Christianswerk Solingen, a as found example which has been used and dismantled at one time. The dagger retains the original polished grip with nickel silver eagle and enamel SA device inserted. Original top mount and lower cross guard mount, the lower mount having gau / district mark “Nrh”. Dagger is housed in the original later pattern painted scabbard with mounts and single hanging ring. The blade has standard “Alles fur Deutschland” motto and the reverse side having the makers trademark. The blade shows evidence of sharpening and slightly shortened. The fittings are loose and the blade is around the wrong way indicating the dagger has been taken apart at one time. Blade 22cms, overall 37 ¼ cms. Ideal for parts or restoration.
Third Reich SA Dress Dagger by Tiger Solingen, good untouched example of a SA dress dagger with original dark brown grip having nickel silver eagle and enamel SA device emblems inserted. Both the top and lower grip mounts in the early nickel silver with the lower mount being stamped with gau / district mark “Nrh”. Housed in the original early pattern anodised scabbard with the top mount having the ring fitting but no actual ring. Blade with “Alles fur Deutschland” motto and Tiger Solingen makers trademark. Blade with some surface staining but this would probably clean off. Overall a good untouched example with the exterior fittings having nicotine staining and general age staining. Blade 22cms, overall 37cms.
WW2 German Army Officers Sword by WKC, good untouched example with gilded hilt and central langet with army eagle and swastika. Black celluloid grip with wire binding in place. Relief of oak leaves and down winged army eagle to the knuckle bow. Housed in its blackened steel scabbard with single hanging ring. Officers leather and bullion sword knot attached to the knuckle bow. Plain single edged slightly curved blade with fuller to three quarters of the back of the blade. WKC makers trade mark to the base. Blade shows some light scratches but generally good condition. Blade measures 83 ½ cms, overall 104 ½ cms.
Grouping of Third Reich Medals, consisting of a 25 year faithful service decoration in its original Wachtler & Lange marked box, Eastern Front campaign medal with un-marked ring, War Service Cross 2nd class without swords (some Verdigris) and War Merit medal with ribbon. Various conditions. (4 items)
WW2 German Kriegsmarine War Service Cross 2nd Class Medal and Document Grouping, consisting of 2nd class War Service Cross 2nd class with swords having the ring stamped “45” for the maker Franz Jungwirth. Accompanied by the original A5 award citation for Kraftfahrobermaat Franz Rotthowe dated 1944 and with typed details of the awardee Admiral Krancke of Marinegruppenkommandos West. Also with his dog tag, Wehrmacht-Fahrlehrerschein pass and a photograph of Rotthowe in Kreigsmarine uniform.
Large Third Reich NSDAP Banner with History, very large building flag with swastika pannel to both sides. Enforced edge with rope and ring mounts. The flag is faded and worn. Measures 58 ½ x 128cms. Some small tears and the bottom edge appears to be scolloped or cut down. Vendor states this flag was found in 1993 when the attic of St Marien Hospital in the town of Hamm (near Dortmund) was cleared.
