Neon Apatite Solitaire Ring, an oval cut vivid blue apatite of approximately 2cts, known as neon apatite for the brilliance and depth of the striking colour, held in an openwork 14ct gold vermeil and silver setting; known for being difficult to cut, neon apatite is more often found in clusters of smaller stones; size P
19th Century eight day longcase clock in mahogany. The hood with scrolled broken arch pediment, three brass orb and spike finials, with turned columns either side of a glazed arched door. Broad bodied case, with chamfered sides inlaid with fruitwood tulip and arrow motifs, with a short onion dome topped door, over a flat fronted cross banded base with scrolled bracket feet. The arched painted dial (14") with floral painted spandrels and white painted dial, with Roman numerals and minute sections to the chapter ring. Painted T. Sutton Bradford. Ornate brass hour and minute hands. Subsidiary dials below the 12 for seconds and above the 6 for days of the month, each with brass hands. Brass 8 day two train movement striking the hours on a gong, the housing for which is stamped 'Ansonia Clock Co'. Pendulum, weights and winding key present. H 246cm (inc finials), W 56cm, D 24.5cm.
Baltic & Crimea Miniature Medals (3) awarded to Chas Bulkeley Nurse, Lieut Royal Marine Lt Infantry. Consists of Baltic 1854-55 miniature, Crimea 1854-56 with Sebastopol clasp & Turkish Crimea medal. These medals are each fully engraved to the rim for Nurse. Captain Nurse served in the Baltic Campaign and was with the combined force before Sebastopol. He was present at the capture of Kerch, the advance on Yeni-Kale and the bombardment of Kinburn. He was promoted to Major General in 1883. The Baltic medal is the scarcer double ring variety.
