An undated archaistic ceramic redware oil lamp in 1st-2nd century AD style, with pointed nozzle and pelta shaped volutes to the side; flat rim decorated with ovolos pattern, ring handle to the back; shallow dish decorated with charioteer in biga, galloping horse to the front; small oil filling hole to the top. 109 grams, 11.5cm (4 1/2"). Property of a North London gentleman; previously in a UK collection formed in the 1980s. [No Reserve] Fine condition.
