THOROWGOOD OF LONDON; a good George III mahogany bracket clock, the brass swing loop handle above arched dial set with silvered chapter ring beneath a calendar ring with twin chain driven fusée movement striking on a bell with engraved back plate, fish scale brass side grills and raised on brass bracket feet, with key and pendulum, height 50cm.Additional InformationSold with a key which works both front and back case, also a winding key sold with a pendulum which is probably associated. The silk on the side grills is perished in parts. There is an unsightly screw to the side to both sides of the case holding the brackets supporting the movement, this may indicate the movement is associated to the case or has been altered in some way. The dial is slightly ill fitting to the recess. No guarantee of working order, there are few small knocks to the case, a tiny bit of moulding missing upper left corner, a couple of splits to the veneer.

ROYAL WORCESTER; a five piece blush ivory dressing table set with floral decoration, puce factory marks to base, together with three 19th century and later wine glasses, including an example with an engraved bowl, raised on air twist single knop stem, height 15cm (8) (af).Additional InformationBoth the air twist glasses are af, the bell bowl example with two large pieces which have been broken out and crudely glued back in, the second example with large chips to the foot rim, the blush ivory set is also af with both of the candlesticks being broken at the base and crudely glued, one also has a hairline crack running across the base, circular bowl missing its cover and also chipped and cracked. The ring tidy is chipped, the lidded bowl appears fine with minimal wear.

A good mid-19th century Chinese Canton carved and stained ivory chess set made for the French market, housed in a good quality coromandel and amboyna box on mahogany stand with fluted tapering legs, the white King and Queen modelled as Napoleon and Josephine and each piece with a puzzle ball to lower section, height of Napoleon 17cm.Additional InformationHaving inspected all the pieces carefully the condition overall is very good indeed. There are a couple of minute chips and the only thing to note is that many of the pawn spears are missing. The cabinet itself is a later addition it is of good quality and has minor surface wear with a small dent to the top on both sides where the brass ring loop handle swivels.
