A JADE GROUP COMPRISING TWO ARCHER'S RINGS AND AN ARCHAISTIC BI DISCChina, late Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) to Republic period (1912-1949). The first a cylindrical ring, incised with a pine tree and monkey, the rims with a leiwen band, the semi-translucent stone of a pale celadon hue. The second a miniature bi disc decorated on both sides in high relief with comma spirals within inner and outer raised borders and flanked on the edges by a pair of dragon heads and a pierced petal for suspension, the translucent stone of a celadon and russet color play. The third a cylindrical ring with uneven rim, the semi-translucent stone of a celadon hue with russet inclusions.Condition: The first in excellent condition, the second and third with some nibbling to rims and edges. A SMALL CIZHOU-TYPE 'OIL-SPOT' BOWL, JIN DYNASTYChina, 1115-1234. The deep, rounded sides rising from a short, thick foot to an indented rim. Covered with a lustrous, blackish-brown glaze densely patterned on the interior with silvery 'oil spots', which on the exterior falls short of the small foot exposing the fine brownish-buff ware.Provenance: A noted private collector in London, United Kingdom.Condition: Very good condition with minor old wear, traces of use and shallow surface scratches, firing flaws, including several glaze recesses, the foot with few minor nicks.Weight: 156.6 gDimensions: Diameter 10.2 cmThis bowl is a Jin Dynasty imitation of a Shanxi ceramic ware, likely made in Shandong province, during the 12th-13th centuries, based on the circular foot ring as well as the underglaze mid-brown, iron-bearing slip. An early 20th century sapphire and diamond five-stone ring, the central round old cut diamond weighing approximately 0.10 - 0.15 carats, flanked by round mixed cut sapphires and mixed cut diamonds, all collet set in yellow metal to a plain polished shank, stamped '18ct', ring size P, weight 3.0gmsCR; One the central diamond, there is a small fracture/chip running from the girdle to the edge of the table, visible under 10x. One of the outer diamonds has a surface reaching fracture, visible under 10x under reflected light. The sapphires show heavy scratching/wear, with nibbles to the facet edges. There is splitting, heavy scratching and wear to the settings, but stones appear secure. Shank is in good order, showing minor misshaping, scratching and wear commensurate with age and use but no signs of splitting or repair. See pictures for further illustration.

One of the outer stones appears to have a chip or a natural on the girdle, leaving a small gap between the girdle and the mount (this is visible in the first and second images two the left hand stone). The central lapis is heavily scratched and worn - no large chips, cracks or losses. Pearls to the cluster are present and largely in tact - some scratching and wear commensurate with age and use. Some thinning and wear to the gallery, but this is largely in good order. Some thinning to the shank around the base, moderate scratching and wear to the shank, but no signs of splitting, resizing or repair.

A Victorian 9ct gold watch chain, comprising alternating curb links and faceted ring links, with attached T-bar and gold coloured lobster claw links, marks for Benjamin Henry Britton and Sons, Birmingham, 45.2cm long, suspending a George V sovereign dated 1915, gross weight 50.9gmsCR; T-bar maker's mark is indistinct, either 'R&S' or 'B&S'. Birmingham anchor mark, stamped '9' and '.375'.All curb-links of the main chain are marked '9' and '.375', however the faceted ring links are unmarked. The lobster claws are stamped 'B&S', but bare no 9ct gold marks. Most of the jump rings suspending the claws, t-bar and sovereign have 9ct gold hallmarks, but some are lacking/have worn. The sovereign mount is unmarked.Largely in good order. Claws are in working order. T-bar in good order. The links are largely in good order, some show areas of thinning, and the faceted loop rings show moderate loss of definition, however there are no obvious signs of splitting or repair. Scratching and wear throughout the chain commensurate with age and use. There is grime build up within some of the faceted links, cleaning required. The sovereign is heavily worn, and have lost definition.

One diamond weighs approximately 0.35 carats, the other weighs approximately 0.40 carats.The smaller stone has a surface reaching fracture approximately 2mm wide, running across the outer table facets, visible with the naked eye. Diamond to each side weighs approximately 0.30 carats.The central stone shows two large fractures to the girdle, one running between a bottom claw and a side claw (approx. 1.5mm wide) and another running outward from a top claw (approximately 1mm wide). Some nibbling to the facet edges and girdle. Some of the bottom facets have polish marks visible through the table, but no obvious inclusions visible at 10x.One of the outer diamonds has a large fracture running from the table to the girdle. Some nibbling to the girdle, and what appears to be a couple of naturals. The other diamond has a small, surface reaching fracture in the middle of the table, and nibbling to the girdle.Clarity across stones is SI-P.

Small chips and nibbles throughout, mostly concentrated to the girdles.

Shank shows some thinning and some slight misshaping - there are signs that the shank may have been repaired or resized at some stage. No other cracks, chips or nibbles. Very light scratching and wear to central stone. All diamonds are present and in tact, no cracks, chips or losses. All claws and settings appear secure, no splitting, thinning or signs of repair. Shank shows some scratching and wear, commensurate with age and use, but no thinning, spitting or repair.No evidence of heat treatment to the sapphire.This sapphire is accompanied by a certificate by The Gem and Pearl Laboratory (21739) stating that the stone is natural and no heat treatment has been observed - it does not indicate origin.Under 10x there is no obvious windowing and no obvious colour zoning. There are several, fine needle-like inclusions running diagonally across the stone through the table, visible at 10x. They are visible with naked eye, though far less obvious.Diamonds don't show an obvious draw of colour with the naked eye, possibly a slight draw of colour under 10x. Average clarity SI. Chain in good order, no signs of breakage or repair, clasp is working order. General scratching and wear throughout commensurate with age and use.Red example: All stones are present and in tact. All show scratching and wear commensurate with use, but no large cracks, chips or losses. Some splitting to one of the flower heads, but largely the mount is in good order, with no major damage or repair. Pin is in working order but is slightly loose. Chain in good order, no signs of breakage or repair, clasp is working order.
