A Mahogany Crossbanded Oak-Cased Longcase Clock, the hood with swan-neck pediment and verre eglomise panels above an arched glazed door flanked by fluted columns, the trunk with shaped top to the rectangular door, flanked by fluted quadrant columns, raised on a panelled plinth with stop chamfers, the 8-day movement having an arched brass dial with gilt metal rococo spandrels, lunar dial, calendar aperture, subsidiary seconds dial, silvered chapter ring and foliate scroll engraved centre, the arch bezel inscribed JOHN STANYER, NANTWICH, circa 1795, 221cm high.
