A late 19th century gold and diamond mounted three-stone ring: with graduated round old brilliant-cut diamonds approximately 5.2mm x 3.4mm , 6.2mm x 4.2mm and 5.1mm x 3.3mm, estimated to weigh 0.6ct, 1.1ct and 0.55ct respectively in a scroll-pierced setting with diamond points.
A small Chinese stoneware vase and a similar bowl: both covered with a pale bluish glaze, the vase of hexagonal form with mythical beast ring handles, ribbed neck and continuous bands of floral motifs and foliage, probably Song Dynasty, 16 cm high; the bowl with a central floral medallion below the unglazed rim, 11.5 cm diameter.
M.Wilde, Wakefield, a mahogany longcase clock: the eight-day duration movement striking the hours on a bell, the brass break-arch dial having a raised chapter ring engraved with black Roman numerals and Arabic five-minute outer numerals, the centre with engraved decoration, subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, the mahogany case having boxwood stringing, decorative fan inlay to the four corners of the base, a shaped top to the trunk door, three-quarter clustered pillars to the trunk, the hood having a swan-neck pediment with three brass ball-and-spire finials, brass paterae and full pillars with cast-brass capitals, all standing on bracket feet, height 233cm (inc. finial)* Biography Micheal Wilde is recorded as working in Wakefield from circa 1765 until his death in 1811 with his son, also Michael, recorded working from before 1838. Various longcase clocks are known signed by both makers.
A mahogany and inlaid three pillar dining table in the Regency taste:, the snap tops with a satinwood and boxwood and ebony strung border with rounded edge, having a rectangular centre section, on ring turned columns and quadruped splayed legs, terminating in brass cappings and castors, the top 126.5cm (4ft 1 3/4in) x 223cm (7ft 3 3/4in) and with two additional leaves extending to 285cm (9ft 4 1/4in).
A pair of Chinese porcelain vases and one similar: each of square shouldered profile with mask and ring handles, the former decorated with two figures and a goose on a bridge and verso with fruit, seed pods, flowers and foliage, the latter with a songbird amongst chrysanthemum and verso with vases, the flanks of each with poetic texts, probably late 19th century, 23 and 22 cm high respectively, drilled and mounted as lamps.
