A Victorian mahogany inverted breakfront pedestal desk, bearing a label for Kerridges of Hailsham, with an inset writing surface, together with an Edwardian inlaid open armchair (2)141w x 70d x 74h cmCondition report: Overall solid and usable. The inset top is quite marked and split. Drawers run ok. One handle has the ring missing. No keys. The wood is generally quite dry and marked, most noticable around the top back edge, possibly from water damage. Has general wear from from age/use.

Measures approx; 43cm x 31cm x 24cm.Provenance; originally consigned from Tredean House: Tredean House, Devauden, Monmouthshire is a country house dating from 1901-02. It was designed in an Arts and Crafts style by the architect Arthur Jessop Hardwick.

Brass face with engraved foliate detailing with silvered chapter ring, makers plaque and subsidiary dial. The case in mahogany with arched top glazed door hood with columns and brass finials. The trunk set with an arched top door, key and raised on bracket foot. Complete with two lead weights and pendulum. Measures approx; 239cm tall. Face / dial 12" / 11.5".
