Hargrkave" between Roman numerals, the silvered dial centre engraved with an armorial and subsidiary seconds dial, the arch showing phases of the moon to the eight day two train movement striking on a bell, contained in oak case with deep arched and moulded cornice and plain turned pillars to hood, the arched trunk door inlaid with triangular panels and wide bandings and with conforming plinth, on shaped base, 81ins high Note : John Fletcher recorded working Holbeck (near Leeds, Yorkshire), died 1787

Buxton of Diss, the 4.75ins arched brass dial with narrow chapter ring with Roman numerals, cast leaf scroll spandrels and engraved alarum dial to centre and single steel hand to the thirty hour movement with anchor escapement striking on a bell, contained in brass framed movement with steel hanging bracket and two spikes to back, 7.5ins high overall (in need of full restoration - side panel missing and anchor escapement not fixed in place, complete with pendulum bob but no rod and lead weights) Note : Samuel Buxton recorded working Diss before 1773, a watch and longcase clock maker
